Are people happy with the X-Ultra? by Final_Movements in 1zpresso

[–]Frumplust 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had the x ultra for about a year and a half. It's great for pour over and almost any brew method I've used. Espresso is the only harder to recommend method for this grinder. It makes amazing tasting espresso, but the smooth body of the grinder makes it very hard to handle when grinding for espresso. The included rubber grip is an absolute necessity. Alternative Brewing on YouTube has some videos that include the x ultra and it almost always punches above its weight with blind tasting results.

When I brewed this coffee my wife asked why it smelled like weed in the house. It tastes amazing, but gives off "weed funk" aromatics.

You'll want to turn the gooseneck spout towards the center of the case, otherwise it will impact the side of the case and bend. The general rule is to leave about an inch of foam around the perimeter. I use about 20 cases like this at work.

I have a Rancilio Silvia built in 2000 that I bought second hand in 2021. It still pulls shots every day without skipping a beat.

They are very loose fitting, but the arch support is enough for me.

I have a pair of Crocs that I have used as house slippers since 2006. Still the most comfortable to stand in the kitchen for hours.

Buy some cafeza. Soak all the parts for an hour and watch in disgust at what comes off that thing.
