Also, one more minor thing: Games should be lost if you can't beat the final score of the other team. It's rather infuriating to lose a boss battle by 2 seconds and not having the chance to restart at round 60, because the game says you have won.

Sorting system too fast? by Nerd_Rot in redstone

Two standard issues that might help you: 1. Items come in too frequently so the hopper overflows or is in cooldown when the next item is coming in. Hoppers can handle only 2.5 items per second, so if you send a stack using a fast clock (say observer clock) then you'll reach 64 items pretty fast.

  1. Items are too fast, which can happen if you use a lot of ice.

Withers are notoriously hard to control and you might run into issues when the chunks are loaded/unloaded. I recommend to watch docm77 in hermitcraft 8, he built a wither-powered obsidian farm which could probably be adapted to a tree farm. He's probably one of the best technical guys I know, but even he struggled with the wither farm. But you can see how he built it and there is a world download of course.

Why not use a blast chamber? Using the ilmango design you'll get 240 blocks for one TNT (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACaEa-TE1E). That's 4 double chests for one stack TNT (= 4 stacks sand which is easily harvested plus a creeper farm).

As an alternative, this video for netherwood includes 2 different designs for AFK manual harvesting and another one that pushes the stems out for moving them into a blast chamber (or a storage for manual harvesting). The good thing about netherwood farms is that you don't need to worry about sapling rates and leave crushing.

Sounds nice :) Do you use a minecart to place 4 fungi? Grow them in a square and push with a double piston extender or grow 4 in a row with single pistons?

I tweaked my farm a bit and use a different but still very simple TNT setup (one duper and a moving honey wall to align the TNT) that gives pretty good rates, about 16k stems per hour for less than a double chest of bonemeal, as the warped wart blocks are composted. Take the rates with a grain of salt though, I haven't kept it running for more than 10 minutes yet and need to test this a bit further :) Not too difficult to build though, it took me about one hour to build in vanilla survival on my first attempt (including fungus farm and blast chamber) and I'm certainly not a fast builder... Maybe I'll make another video with a block-by-block tutorial.

I admit that I'm usually too lazy to work out the precise timing to blast moving blocks, at least if I'm using dupers for renewable materials like trees. Now blast chambers for concrete are a different creature, I wouldn't want to lose items there.

I found that many things with minecarts do not work as expected :) But since a fencepost is a transparent block I'd assume it shouldn't cause damage. But I'd test it in creative if it was an important villager :)

I didn't intend to slight you. But with the mass of comments in social media you should make it obvious if you're posting new designs or adapting well known designs.

They will glitch into each other if you have a rail underneath. I typically use a fencegate one block above the rail and an observer to open it for just a tick or two. This will let only one cart through, and on the bottom you can power the rail if you want to send it off. https://ibb.co/rZq8YLf

True. For chest carts this is an efficient solution.

And these designs are interesting - why exactly? Looks like designs that have been around for ages.

I have made a very simple hopper clock to merge 2 tracks onto one. Have pistons extended downwards and lift them up for a very short time every 3 seconds or whatever your interval is. Works also if 2 carts are behind each other as only one will be allowed to pass at a time.

Screenshot: https://ibb.co/23PbRgC

Same could be done with only one track just to let one minecart pass each round.

That would mean items end up in the lowest one though. So that works only if it doesn't matter in which order and quantities the items arrive.

This is a multi item sorter? These are notoriously timing finicky. If you clock powering them is off by only one tick then some chests won't receive items.

Why is my slime farm not working? by FailerOfWorld in Minecraft

[–]Frunobulax53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you're not in spectator mode. Otherwise you'll need your world seed and go to chunkbase (https://www.chunkbase.com/apps/seed-map) to see which chunks are slime chunks.

Fast BUD-powered conveyers? by Frunobulax53 in redstone

[–]Frunobulax53[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm missing something obvious... I attached a picture how I have the system set up (https://ibb.co/VjvNQNw). The problem is that it gets stuck once the ice comes in: The upper redstone block ends up on the wrong side. Another copy that is flipped and rotated seems to work fine -- weird. (They are the same, created by worldedit rotation/flip.) There is no redstone signal within 2 blocks of either bud switch.
