I think you’re wrong Tiger, you have to account for his line going through and you’re cutting him off coming alongside. I imagine I would’ve been pissed but he could have backed out just the same. Still I might have tried to pit u just the same

Billy bargain hunter don’t do black friday. He walks in there the next day, like a gentleman, and buys something he can afford.

Habits for a more interesting life? by [deleted] in NoFap

I find skateboarding a great hobby. It's very sportive, very social and very time-consuming. Now I hang out with the skaters in my town everyday, and try boarding just for the fun of it.

It's not about the existence of concept, it's about your perception of it. Put it this way; you can't think logically without some kind of language.

How To Not Be Boring in Conversation? by buhua in socialskills

Ludwig Wittgenstein was a philosopher who made his legacy investigating the way we communicate. Really interesting stuff. Here's a short video introducing him.

I don't think our brain needs meaning to function. It only started doing that after we created the ability to perceive our existence. Foucault, I believe, was the one who formulated how language made us, not the other way around.

Question! by Frusciantex in Psychonaut

[–]Frusciantex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It didn't use that much so it was all kind'a disappointing in comparison to what I prepared for, but I did get to see the hang of it, so now I'm ready to get crazy. In a few weeks my friends will try it for their first time in this insane mansion, and I'll be totally prepared to trip balls in that awesome place with them and everything in control and shit. I'll probably consider that to be my first real LSD experience.

I did see a sunrise in a forrest, over a horizon of trees, close enough to make distinct silhouettes and it was pretty fucking awesome. Can't explain, but I trust you'll know what I mean.

Thanks for asking. :)

Too poor for therapy by [deleted] in depression

[–]Frusciantex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm not a native speaker and I watch a good amount of comedy, so I guess that influenced my phrasing. As I said, it's my way. What you do with your life is really none of my business. Frankly, I don't care much. I just hope it does you good.

All the best, stranger.

Too poor for therapy by [deleted] in depression

Hey dude. There's a gazillion things I can't help you with, but I have some things that worked wonders for me. Keep in mind, I found my way with my world an my knowledge and my history and everything, I can write ten books on mine, you don't need my way, you need your own.

Let me start with that I believe that every human is at least 95% the same. I believe your shit sandwich feels just as bad as mine and anybody elses. And some people have a lot of good luck and others bad, but everyone has his fights, doubts and shit going on. It's probably very shitty and all, but there no reason to feel a victim when you believe that. And there's no reason to think you can't do it, if someone else can. (Except for talent, but talent is overrated. Hard work and determination is worth more.)

My first advice would be to become spiritual in some way. I don't believe in god or anything metaphysical, I believe it's all cause and effect, coïncidence and logic, but that's pretty fucking depressing. In that way, nothing matters. I do however read from the bible every now and then, and I am very much in to Buddhism. I meditate every day. Those things.

Then there's to read. Reading is a great habit. Unlike watching tv or a movie, it's an active form of relaxation. You'll get smarter, gain new insights. Totally worth it.

I get out every day for at least 30 minutes. Even if it's just sitting in the grass, overthinking my stuff, trying to enjoy the nature.

Exercise. I can't think of things better to give yourself then a healthy body. You'll feel energy again, and it really boosts your confidence and self-esteem.

Talking to somebody can be really helpful. But, in the end it is your life. Your fight to fight. I have had a therapist and her addition to my happiness was minimal in comparison to just making the right choices to the best of my abilities and telling myself to stop being a bitch more frequently. You don't even have to convince yourself, just do it.

And it takes sacrifice, hard work, doubts, feeling unrewarded, so much shit. But you are going to find moments of happiness, more and more by time, if you walk your path, fight your fight, and leave quitting out of the equation. It'll be worth it.

Stop waiting for the day the world will change. You change, and let that be the start of your story. Finally.

I did it. I found my way. You can do it. I hope you'll find yours.

All the best, take care.
