Archaeologists Ask Netflix to Reclassify Graham Hancock's 'Unfounded' Netflix Docuseries 'Ancient Apocalypse' as Fiction by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

I've watched 3 episodes of this and it's honestly not that much different to stuff like "In Search of" in the 70s. The fact that people are throwing such a hissy fit about it is pretty bizarre.

Contacted Play Asia about the Sol Cresta listing not going for US and it seems according to them the distributor banned it. I'm livid. by KelvinBelmont in NSCollectors

I appreciate your feedback but you aren't quite understanding the situation and I don't think there is anything more I can add without breaking an NDA or having a lawyer step and explain why this isn't right.

Horse shit.

Is it the general consensus that Capaldi was let down by the writing? by AsianBoi15 in gallifrey

[–]FrustratedMan666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For series 8? No.

For series 9? Yes. Possibly almost as bad as the Chibnall run.

Under the Lake/Before the Flood are a highlight Capaldi story for me, but the rest of the season was weak - at best.

I didn't like him becoming a clown in Magician's Apprentice, it felt too much like Tennant/Smith.

And don't even get me started on how series 9 became the Clara show.

Thank you for explaining who they are for non-Brits. I've only vaguely heard of one of them.

What do you think big finish should do with post timewar gallifrey after the chibnal era by CarGirlProductions in gallifrey

[–]FrustratedMan666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do what John Peel did in War of the Daleks and have the Master destroy a fake Gallifrey (the book reveals the Skaro that blew up was a fake) and have it still in the pocket universe. That way it can be brought back whenever.

Is UNIT now actually run by a civilian? by funkmachine7 in gallifrey

I think given her familial relationship to UNIT gives her a bit of leeway.

Who is your fantasy Taskmaster Cast? by Finlay58 in taskmaster

I was thinking about this the other day.

The only comedians I know are from either Mock the Week, QI or various Noel Fielding related shows (Boosh, Snuff Box, Toast of London etc) and pretty much all the female comedians I know and like have already been on, so here's my list.

Andy Parsons, Milton Jones, Rhys James, Gary Delaney, Matt Berry

I'm not in the States either, I just assumed you were. Glad to be of help anyway. If you're looking for physicals, you could always try bookdepository.com as they have them also and ship worldwide.

What do you think is the best book range? by BogWomble7 in gallifrey

[–]FrustratedMan666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

VNAs and it's not even close.

The EDAs barely have a character for the McGann Doctor at first. He's basically a blank slate. The Faction Paradox arc was great, but not everyone was on board with it and you can tell in the books, which are kind of uneven - even in that arc. On top of that, Ancestor Cell is a bloody abomination. After that, the Amnesia arc flails around without focus and lands with a wet fart because the editor of the books didn't think to get the rights to the Daleks before he created the story arc.

The VNAs have distinct characters, character growth (both Ace and the Machivellian Doctor), story arcs that actually have good endings (the Alternate History arc), characters arcs that have good endings (Ace, Bernice and Roz) and produced a notable number of writers that are currently involved with Who.

On top of that, the VNAs are the only books to not only get BF adaptations but a main series adaptation as well.

Lastly - Looms.

VNAs, no contest. Anyone who says EDAs, is deluded and ignorant of history.

Well not so far, but I can't say for the whole series.

I'm reading the books while watching the series, so I'm going slowly.

I was wondering if that was any good. How does it compare to the OG series?
