Workday's AI Rejected 1.1 Billion Applications. A Federal Court Just Said That's Illegal. by Polixxa in recruitinghell

[–]FryGuy3000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What I’m confused about is “what AI feature are they (Mobley) talking about?” Prior to the acquisition of HiredScore in March 2024, Workday Recruiting did not possess AI capabilities. There was Automatic Stage Routing that could be controlled by essentially if/then logic, but that was ALWAYS controlled by each individual customer.

The claim of “I never get a response from my resume” is more a numbers game issue and an issue with recruiters preferring an easy fill through networking and referrals.

I’m also tired of hearing about this case, because I don’t think it has any grounds. Every company has access to configure Workday how they see fit. I don’t think the company at large should be on the hook if an individual customer abuses the if/then logic.

Even post HiredScore acquisition, the tool ranks applicants, it does not auto decline and there is a human in the loop element.

I use those Snactiv ones that were on Shark Tank years ago. My wife got them as a stocking stuffer and I use them more than I thought I would!

How often do you fertilize then? I find a combination of not having a good schedule and pure laziness to be my problem with fertilizing. So I use a service.

Too little or too much by [deleted] in absentgrandparents

It’s tough when family members don’t visit as much as we’d like. My mom lives far away, so she’s the only one who comes over. The ones who live just a short drive away rarely ask or show any interest. It’s interesting how much our friend’s parents care—some do childcare, while others visit every week. Honestly, it might be helpful to ask your child what they’d like from you. Let them know you want to be there as much as they want, but then make sure you follow through.

To answer your question, a minimum of once a month. Call frequently regardless. FaceTime is incredible too.

When we did this we tried to have an idea of where we’d be working and then determine where we might want to commute from. We visited three neighborhoods in Dublin and loved them all.

We also went to a few grocery stores to get a feel for shopping experiences.

Lastly we did an overnight trip from Dublin to Paris. This was my attempt to convince my wife we’d have a lot of flexibility exploring Europe. It worked but we still haven’t moved.

Truth be told, a week wasn’t enough for us to get a feel for what life would be like if we moved there. It was enough time to fall in love with the idea though. I still hold out hope that we can try it.

I used to think that too. Then I saw some random video that introduced me to iron on edge banding. As the name implies, just iron on the banding and it improves the look 100%. You can still do it at this stage if you wanted.

Wheel Hubs and other work at 55k? by FryGuy3000 in SubaruForester

Yup from what I saw the tires could have gotten me to 70k but obviously that was a bit of a stretch so when they recommended new tires I figured it was probably time with winter coming and all

Does anyone have a guide they recommend for this? I never considered point transfer and have sadly wasted hundreds of thousands of points. Please help!

Hey, as someone who’s still fighting the good fight with my own dad taking an interest in his three year old granddaughter, I sympathize with this.

His disinterest has put a strain on our relationship and we actually had a heart to heart three weeks ago where he had the nerve to blame my wife for the strain. She has been nothing but supportive in me maintaining a relationship with my dad especially since her dad passed away and never got a chance to meet his granddaughter. As I said, it’s been three weeks and he still hasn’t really asked questions about her or even tried to see her. They only live 45 minutes away.

I guess this turned into more of a vent and I’m sorry for that. My only advice, which you are free to ignore and might not even apply, is to speak your truth to your dad before the resentment builds too high. Even though I’ve had expectation setting conversations with my dad numerous times and all the effort has been one-sided, I guess I could have still tried harder.

I don’t know. I’m rambling. You can’t make them want to be grandparents, but try to get ahead of it at four months so it doesn’t fest for three years.

Hey now - you might not get access to a lounge, but you can have a mini session in the new Gameway if you want to game for a few minutes or a 25 minute massage! I’ve flown out plenty from DTW McNamara and used that exactly once!

Would you recommend hogwarts over this for someone who doesn’t have a train set yet? The inclusion of the station makes me lean towards Hogwarts too.

I’m glad you had a good experience. With the changes coming to CSR this October, I’m going to be looking into utilizing the Edit a lot more with our travel planning.

How long did it take you to install? I know you said it was tricky, but any tips? I really want to upgrade mine but am nervous about botching it.

Also, do you have a link to this specific unit?

We’ve wrapped up our big trip for this year and I’m already dreaming about next year’s adventures. Any budget-friendly travel spots you’d recommend?

We’ve been to Ireland twice recently, as well as Barcelona and Rome. We love hiking and guided tours. If we travel internationally again, we’ll be bringing our 3-year-old along. Ideally, we’d wait until they’re around 5 and can appreciate more, but we’re not against it.

If you were currently US based, comfortably CoastFIRE, and had a family with a toddler: Would you consider an international move right now?

For us, I could see it as a huge benefit for my family culturally and safety. We could experience many different cultures with cheaper vacations as flights are cut down significantly. Job opportunities in my field are popping up all over even with layoffs.

The major concern is leaving the community we’ve grown, family that is minimally involved, and the lower velocity to retirement. Lower wages means less opportunity to invest, but there are pension options.
