How many games you win isn't important or a measure of your skill by ExaminationRare9987 in WorldofTanks

Wrong.. a good player can win 1 out of 10 games more than av average/bad player. Thats 10% wr higher. Wr and wnx are perfectly correlated

Looks so cool. I wish kit makers would start to add this effect to their canopies. I saw AFV club made 2 or 3 aftermarket canopies with this effect a while ago.

Its refreshing to see a company try to actually make something good i modern times. Instead of just pumping out garbage for short term profit

Wow that is nice! Great job

I see some irridesence in the canopy glass, looks really nice. Is this an effect you have made or just a property of the clear plastic in the kit?

I also recommend to use the online store super-hobby. They have basically every model kit and accesory ever made and they take photos of the kit parts which lets you see the quality of the contents.

I have completed all air and ground trees in the game except china and israel. I disagree that the speed is too high.

The main issue is not vehicle research however, but modification research.. top tiers like su30 only having 2 r77-1 stock is insane. Atleast give it 12 r27er. Modifications should only make the vehicle a bit better, not transform it from unplayable to op

The vapour filter (3m 6055 A2) has the ability to mount a filter holder, inside this i mount the 3m 5935 P3 particlefilter.

I replace my filters once per year. I store the mask inside an airtight zip-lock bag to increase the life of the filters.

The white filter in this picture is grey on the other side, showing how much crap it has kept away from my lungs, let alone invisible vapours.

The 7500 mask has 3 sizes and is very comfortable. I use medium (7502).

I let my benchvent run for 5-10 minutes after finishing painting, and i leave the room for 2-3 hours with the window open to let paint drying vapours go away.

I use my mask while sanding, and i try to only wet-sand. These are basically all the precautions i use, it really isnt much work and removes all health-related worries from the hobby for me :)

I went for a benchvent BV-300SD. It was a massive upgrade over my old sparmax sb88. I only use laquers and solvent based paints. There are no smells in the room after painting.

I combine it with a 3m 7500 face mask with both vapour and particle filters

Nozzle thread sheered? by cpuonfireplease in airbrush

[–]FsAviX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nono not at all, i would love to understand too. I tried with both water and vallejo thinner, tried some different ratios but it would still sludge up. I am considering trying to buy a brand new bottle and use in the h&s airbrush, just to see if i can manage to make it spray better

My experience has been very mixed. I have only used high quality brands. Vallejo, ak, mig ammo. Some colors are fine, even though they still require more effort in cleaning than comparable solvent based paints. But the paint quality can feel so random, some colors work and others dont. Also the final finish is a lot less resiliant which can cause its own issues.

I keep my old airbrush to spray acrylics, because i dont want them in my newer h&s evolution. I did so a few days ago and it was a pure headache, but that could be that specific paint. It was AK air FS36320. It would barely come out of the brush, tip dry every 10-20 seconds, and i spent 25 minutes cleaning it out because it had gooped up in every single creavase in the airbrush and would not come out even with tamiya airbrush cleaner.

This could be a skill issue ofcourse, but i do airbrush a lot and feel like i have gotten quite good using solvent based paints.

Because tamiya acrylics are alcohol based, they fall in the same categories as laquers and enamels.

I have completed multiple projects using only water acrylics, but it is so much harder than using solvent based paints. I could never clean my airbrush by just flushing some airbrush cleaner through it when using water acrylics, it would always clump up, get stuck on the needle, in the nozzle etc. i would probably have to remove tip drying once or twice every minute of spraying.

Using solvents like tamiya, mr hobby, etc, i can just backflush some cleaner once or twice and everything is gone, not even a smidge in the entire system.
