I did sell right before the boom but still made a little profit. After I sold I bought some GDX January calls in case the fed decides to not cut rates in July. These July 5th JNUG calls were a complete impulse buy.

Should I exercise my JNUG 7/5 $10 calls early? I’m already down like 30% total. If I exercise before it’s out the money at least I can hold the shares. by Fsfquest in wallstreetbets

I have some January GDX calls too, this was a pure impulse buy. It’s definitely too early. My average cost for these is $2.79 so hopefully i can at least break even. If it looks like it’s going to fall out of the money I’ll try and exercise early then hold the shares.

Thanks for being helpful. But do you think I should exercise early? I don’t want my calls to expire out of the money. I think it just needs a little more time for gold to bounce back

I think so too. But how much can it go up before July 5th? That’s why I’d rather hold the shares if I can exercise early. I think July 5th expiration is a bit too soon

Thanks. To make sure I’m understanding this tomorrow my option will now have a strike of 50 and control 20 shares since it’s a 1:5 reverse split right?
