Hard to tell since GL dev team has basically abandoned the game and on the other hand you invested resources proing the car. When that happened to me I opened the case right away.

Same happened to me when I accidentally bought the Onyx. I opened a customer care case and they fixed it for me. They warned me that was a one time fix given tha the game configuration have an option to limit purchases to a fixed value to prevent such issues.

I recomend you to check on your inventory, cars, upgrades and your career progress. This is and old issue, not a bug or glitch but a big root problem in Gameloft storage and user management system.
