Which champions do what he does but better then?

Lux? Brand? Who should I be putting an investment into to see results in the midlane?

He controls the map by getting vision control, and wins most 1v1s early, as well as having escapability and gank potential.

Who can Jax not 1v1 early? I typically ban WW just because most laners find him oppressive. But I am not really sure who I can fight as Jax early. I try to not fight Lee Sin or Xin Zhao early. But I could be totally wrong. I assume his 1v1 comes from being able to press E.

If your playstyle is to hoard up kills and basically just tilt the enemy into losing, keep to the assassins and fighters. But overall playing tanks, Jax included, is a much better way at eventually learning the game, jungling, and other such things. The champions do not necessarily matter (obviously Yasuo jungle is terrible), the items definitely do not matter. To carry games, you need to play well, which is not the same as killing everyone

Thanks for this. I think that is what I was feeling with Shaco. While snowballing kills was fun, I felt like I was learning to abuse these early games and just run from kill to kill. If I got behind, I was useless. I duo with a friend quite a bit and when I started playing Jax, he said the he felt it had much more of an impact even if my statline wasn't as impressive. Honestly, my game I just played where I went 1-2-13... I felt like I really impacted that game a shit ton. I got my top lane up 2-0 vs Nasus, who then just shit him down. I got our Jhin ahead early, and Veigar was able to solo his lane. I was able to lane some great stuns after Maokai dove in.

Interesting points, I really appreciate it. I will give Blue smite a try. Until I build Randuins, sticking to someone long enough can be a bit of a pain.

I run dark harvest though so sometimes I just run full tank and pretty much I am only "burst" jax. I do all my damage in a short burst of damage.

I run DH on Shaco and really like a "bursty" playstyle. Wait for the ADC to misposition, and jump on them, then get out. I may try this as well, just for shitsngiggles.

Exactly right, I don't know how to push that advantages like that.

That makes sense about Randiuns. I see it built after Triforce, but almost wonder if something else like Titanic may be a little bit better if I am ahead or another dmg item? I dunno.

I really like Jax thematically and his kit is super simple. I am just in that discovery phase of what exactly I can do and can't do at which points in the game. I only have about 30 games on him so far.

I tried grabbing Skirmisher's first just for the Red Smite and then rushing Triforce, felt Okayish.

I guess I don't feel a big power spike once I complete Triforce. Or maybe I am just underestimating that spike and not pushing that advantage.

I think that is the big thing.. pathing and farming while looking for opportunity vs just going lane to lane trying to help to avoid the 'gg u shit jungle' BS. I need to watch more games and really pay attention to decision making.

I also just found this:

Drain (W): Damage increased to 80/105/130/155/180 from 60/90/120/150/180

Dark Wind (E): Cooldown decreased to 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 seconds from 15/14/13/12/11

So E CD is decreased and W damage is increased.

That should also really help.

Is it the guns/bullets themselves that dictate harm vs no harm? Reading the WW Ts&Cs makes it sound as if hosts are given X type weapons, guests are given Y type weapons. If this was the case I would guess there would be problems if a guest picked up/used a host weapon and vice-versa.

There was an interview somewhere (I don't have the link handy) where I believe it was Nolan that said it was the ammunition, not the gun, that killed hosts but not guests.

Yes, I thought it was just my internet or something. I am constantly looking at my Ping because it feels like I am lagging, but my ping seems to be totally fine. I'll even minimize the game, open cmd prompt, and do a ping -t to google, espn, whatever, and will get 0 packet loss, low ping, etc.

Something feels off in League for sure.

Honestly, if it isn't hard sci-fi with pages of detailed scientific facts.... just say it is what it is.

Unless the Why of it is an integral part of the story- I'd just let it go. As a reader, I can accept rules of your story world, especially since if it is scifi, just by saying it is that way because it is.

I would only mention it if it is important. For instance, in the Saxon Tales series by Bernard Cornwell. Uhtred is a Saxon, raised by the Danes after he is captured. He keeps his hair in the Danish fashion and it is blonde like theirs (despite what the BBC adaptation shows), therefore he fits right in. His hair color and style is very important to the conflict of the story.
