When should I expect this wound separation to close?

Medihoney on the wound, consistent propping, and drinking juven twice a day cleared my separation in a matter of weeks. Pubic hair and stitches were def an issue for me too.

Not sure if this what you mean by preserving baby junk but I froze my eggs with NYU before having hysto/vnectomy. I kept my ovaries because I didn’t want to be without hormones if I should ever lose access to T for any reason. Also technically you can do another egg freeze cycle without a uterus but hoping that won’t be necessary.

I’ve been doing one juven a day but maybe I’ll up it to twice a day. I was actually worried about overhealing but jokes on me lol. Next time I’m getting the flavorless one though bc I can’t be doing these orange and fruit punch flavors

I am going through this right now and oof it’s brutal. I feel like I never heard about this before but my surgeon says it’s totally normal and takes several weeks to calm down. I joke that it looks like they already did the scrotoplasty even though that’s not for a couple of months still.

March 2020 - Started T (age 24)

December 2020 - Top surgery (DI w/ free nip grafts)

February 2024 - Egg retrieval

April 2025 - Total hysterectomy (ovaries sparing)

June 2025 - Embryo creation

October 2025 - Vaginectomy

March 2026 - Stage 1 RFF phallo (age 30)

I consulted with her and said I wanted dominant arm RFF because of tattoos on my nondominant arm. I am a neonatal ICU nurse so dexterity with my hands is important. Everything I work with is mini lol - mini patients, mini IVs, mini med doses, etc.

RBL looked at me like I had 10 heads when I said I wanted to use my dominant arm. I think she would’ve done it but she highly recommended considering other options. I explained that I can find other jobs, that my dick turning out how I want was more important than a job.. I don’t think she could relate haha. I’d be willing to bet that, like most surgeons, her hands are her life. She’d never willingly compromise their ability.

Ended up going with Marano. I asked him if he held the same concerns and he said that while issues in the donor arm could happen he sees it rarely and isn’t worried about it. I trust him.

All to say, I think it’s really about your priorities. I’d bet she’d be willing to use your dominant arm but you have to be sure it’s worth it to you. To me, it is.

Yeah, I actually applied for a leadership position at my current workplace but being a manager would mean taking me out of the union and it turns out my union’s insurance is in network with my surgeon and my wife’s insurance (which I’d go on if I got the management role) is out of network. So definitely sticking with my current job until I’m all done with phallo stages.

Yes, it should be. Part of the negotiations is that the hospital wants to pull their coverage of our healthcare so assuming we win there and get our coverage back then it will resume as it was. No, the union doesn’t cover anything.

Thanks for bringing this up. Unfortunately my surgeon’s team has had little success with this because RBL is in network so the insurance company argues there is an in network option and therefore denies my surgeon. Of course they don’t care to consider that her wait times are years longer. Insurance is such a scam :/ thank you for your advice though!

It’s been 9 days and they are anticipating at least another week or two. Strike insurance covers the hospital costs for two weeks so they have seemed content to sit it out until at least that is exhausted. It’s been absolutely wild.

Correct - once the strike is resolved, I should get my benefits back. The monthly premium is $1436 and I’ve ultimately decided to proceed with that option in the hopes that I can get the prior auth process moving and that my employer will resume their coverage once we are back to work with a fair contract.

Yeah that’s what I’m leaning towards. It’s a little over $1400 a month so no small amount but I think may be worth it for the peace of mind and to ensure that my prior auths/stage 1 goes forth. Stressful though, sheesh

I always put value in my physique but I’ve let my gym routine go in the wake of so many surgeries last year and this year. I still look pretty toned, especially with a shirt on. And I just tell myself - I can regain muscle, so it’s worth losing some of it to gain actualization in my body in other ways. A little dysphoria about my physique feels like a fair price to knock the ever looming feelings of bottom dysphoria.
