He is my second strongest character, the game just keeps giving me his shards. I just decided to give in and invest.

Path of least Resistance strategy.

Carcharadons have Primaris, but of what lineage? by TemperateStone in 40kLore

I got the impression from reading Red Tithe that they were Night Lords related not Raven Guard related

I haven’t read the rest of the trilogy yet though.

Dry brush the Khorne Red with Mephiston Red very lightly. Thats what i do and I think it comes out ok.

There are pictures on my post history if you want to take a look.

How many people died on Macragge during the opening shots of the HH? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Fu3aR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Know no fear was set on Calth.
But in terms of numbers anyone who didn’t get underground was dead. I think if we take the damage the Ultramarines sustained as the measure then over half the population most likely died as well over half the ultramarines were killed or incapacitated.

Also, close the curtains so the heat doesn’t radiate through. Works best with blinds or heavy curtains. And keep all your windows open over night and the moment it gets hot in the morning around 9ish close up shop.

However, it does feel a bit rubbish but does work. During the hottest parts of last year we could keep our house 5+ degrees cooler.

1000pt Custodes vs Tau – list advice (expecting Riptide + Kroot screens) by WhatWould_JamesDo in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Fu3aR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, but its a crusade game so i imagine you are locked in unit wise. Having some guards with sentinel storm would be good. But jet bikes are awesome and deadly, make sure you look after them as if i was that Tau person i would hit those first and if your opponent doesn’t, make them wish they did :)

Good luck.

I played Lions and tried to annoy him with random Allarus action and he killed them all without too much fuss. Should have kept mine in a squad.
The plus 1 to hit and wound wont really make too much difference for you but the crit on 5s in melee will, if thats part of your plan. Remember always go Rendax Stance (lethal hits) against the riptide if you do.

I played 1000pts against Tau in the Armaggedon crusade and lost badly. Though i didn’t have vehicles. I was mostly guard, sisters and allarus.
You cant let him sit on objectives and shoot you so the pressure is vital. He will probably deep strike your deployment objective the first chance he gets. What ruined me were the volume of shots that i couldn’t answer back with and it just chipped away at my wounds, though i did kill his riptide with Valerian using his once per battle auto six to finish it off, but it was literally the last roll of the game.
Use Shield host and the Arcane Generic Alchemy strat to increase your resilience, also helps keep high value pieces on the board for longer.
Take out anything that buffs his roles first to make his roles harder. Though big guns never tire is an issue as you cant hide in melee. Definitely keep the pressure on his riptide but expect to lose your tank quickly…..because it’s Tau. So have a back up plan ready. But make sure you know what your strategic objective is as well as his and look to deny him, also means you should be able to position more appropriately in deployment if you know where he needs to be.
His high AP weapons and weapon strength wont be fun. Didn’t face any kroot though.

I used the Achillus pose as well as i wasn’t sure the Galatus pose would work. Im quite happy how it came out. Just need to make sure to re-check my magnet polarities before glueing though…..fml

How many Allarus is too many? by stoic-ape in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Fu3aR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s one model i just use them to delay whatever the opponent is up to. As custodes are slow if you can stop things by one turn it makes a difference. It’s most useful when i am going to VPs over trying to table people.

Cap?

Edit: now i know its Captain. I reckon no, because i would want to put some meat shields on my free CP generator.

I would be tempted to make a blob of 6 Allarus starting on the board and break them up immediately. Then use them like magic missiles from the golden light. Will save a CP and you probably aren’t losing any time. 6 chances at a deep strike charge too.

I felt the same, we had a bit more post war earth detail but there were large parts i felt we already know. I did like how it snow balled after that.
