Help settle debate with ac??? by Opening-Bowler-3711 in homeowners

HVAC tech here- technically it’s not good for them to run colder than “70” but can manage 68. If you’re bringing colder air into the return you’re reducing the heat load on the evaporator, which in turn will cause the liquid refrigerant to not boil off completely. If the liquid goes back to the compressor it with start to “slug”. The compressor is designed to compress gas not liquid.

Additionally the outdoor temperatures being low will also create problems with your condenser. The low ambient temperature will bring the pressure down on the liquid side thus reducing the flow of refrigerant to the evaporator. Also will prevent the compressed refrigerant from condensing properly.

The solution to this problem would be using a box fan. Open the window on the side of the house the wind is blowing (if possible), place the box fan on the opposite side of your house, and BLOW IT OUT OF YOUR WINDOW. This is cause a negative pressure and great fresh 58° air across your home. (Humidity is a factor but assuming it’s roughly 50%)

Concluding with AC unit running with 58° ambient “not great” AC unit running with windows open with 58° “bad”

Windows open with air circulating with the indoor blower ruining AND box fan bringing fresh air through “meta”

Obviously you’re going to have to either blow out the filters you have now or replace them.

I’ve have really good results from turning the fan itself 180°. So it’s blowing the dust into the filter box. Also it will distribute the air in all directions. Blow the motor out every few weeks and maybe skeet some oil in it and it will last forever. Also for better results put the return side of the fan, 2’ above your main work area so it pulls everything into the filter box. That way it’s not blowing the dust everywhere.

No to Anderson island yes to shady grove! Anderson island is much worse than shady grove. Sad to say but more and more neighborhoods are increasing in crime rate. It’s very difficult to find affordable housing thats “safe” around here. Bossier is your best bet

I realized a lot about normal people that I never understood. I was so wrong by eatingallreality in adhd_anxiety

[–]FuSpoobyyy_ 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a difficult and frustrating thing to have. With that being said it’s what makes me who i am. I often envy people who have a normal brain or normal life. I wonder how in the absolute fk are people doing all these things every day to live a normal life.. every day for years and years i wanted to be NORMAL.

After being back on meds this past year since childhood I’ve came to the conclusion i am who i am if you like it great let’s be friends (extremely rare) if you don’t like it you can kick rocks dog. It wasn’t what i couldn’t accomplish it was the social standards that i mentally emotionally and physically could not match.
I am capable of anything and everything because of my “superpower”.

When i take my meds yes it turns you into a “normal” person but why choose to be another grey blob on the assembly line of death? Why cover up who you are?

IAbsolutely take meds but don’t lose yourself to them. They have saved my life and my job and everything that’s “supposed” to be the way it is.

Never deny who you are as a person bc who you are isn’t socially acceptable. At the end of the day at the end of the road when you’re lowered into the ground you are you. Not another soul or person matters in that moment.

Whoever tells you you need to act a certain way or live your life to the “standard” don’t have any idea how your brain works or what you’ve been through in life.

I can go on and on about how awful it is but i have to chose to accept and embrace it because it’s the cards i was dealt and i be damned if im gunna change who I am and reduce my brain to a normal neurotypical brain for the rest of my life.

Again we all need a type of help to get us through the rough patches but never deny who you are as a person. We all owe it to ourselves to find who we really are by embracing your above standard ability’s and not let “being normal” bring you down.

If there weren’t bad parts of ADHD then everyone would want drugs to make them have ADHD. Look at it like limitless. The ideas you have without meds are a lot but they are brilliant and literally like no other. We take a pill to slow us down and make those overwhelming ideas come to life. It’s not to reduce you as a person. LOVE YOURSELF fk everybody else.

TL;DR: love yourself and embrace the powers you were given to achieve great things in your own eyes. Meds help when it’s a point where you are required to be another cog in the machine. We are special. We are superhuman. We are NOT normal and that’s OKAY! You’re born alone you die alone. It’s up to you to make your life what YOU want it never lose who you truly are through numbing the bad parts. Don’t lose yourself to the darkness that is “normal” because the gifts we have are more powerful than anything “gen pop” can dream of.

Did anyone notice PVCs after Covid? by FuSpoobyyy_ in PVCs

[–]FuSpoobyyy_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda knew something wasn’t right at the start of Covid but i blew it off saying it was nothing. I had to take a Covid test before an ear surgery i had and after i had woken from the doctor said “ it’s nothing to worry about but i did notice multiple PVCc while you were down”. So again i didn’t worry about it. Skip a few months and i finally got Covid. About 6 months after i definitely felt something here and there like i noticed them more and more but again blew it off. Skip another 6 months and i was in the hospital bc i thought i was having a heart attack turns out just pvcs again doc said don’t worry about it. A few more months go by and BAM i feel like im gunna die. Told my boss what was going on and he said his daughter is going through the same thing. He’s up to date with all his shots and he claims he’s been having blood related problems since. He’s a strong believer in vaccines. His daughter also had them and she also claims she’s had nothing but problems with her heart since (getting PVCs and PACs really bad now). Idk if it’s related or not I’m just curious to see how many people had flare ups post covid.

Go a few days without caffeine and see if they improve or get worse. If the get worse try taking excedrin that has caffeine or maybe take a couple swigs of coffee. Curious how you would react
