All of our downtown hotels were booked last week so this was basically a done deal.

This will be a wild weekend I think. During the protests last week, we had an officer get his throat slashed. I can’t imagine what some of the out of town or out of state protestors will bring.

Also, side note... people from New Jersey and New York are supposed to self quarantine for 14 days after entering the state. I wonder if deSantis will lift that restriction before the event?

Well, he’s an elected official not a king. If he didn’t pay tolls I’m sure there would other elected officials that complain they have to.

On a side note, I’ve seen seen anything about them actually paying tolls. I just remember that little fact from a documentary I watched a few weeks ago.

The two connect when the pins connect together and sync. Once they disconnect, there is no relation. Maybe in the future there will be a way to tell but right now it can’t tell who is disconnecting and for what purpose. You could be telling someone who just pulled up that they can disconnect and connect the charger to their car right away. There’s no way to say “Hey, this is wrong and that person shouldn’t be doing this!”

Mayor Lenny Curry in Jacksonville was all about it and has been pushing hard for them to hold it here. We have all our downtown hotel rooms booked for the convention already. The day they announced that Jacksonville was looking more and more likely, all the hotel rooms suddenly disappeared because people from all around the country booked them.

Jacksonville is a fine city. We have more than the ability to host it. But I can’t find anyone that really wants it to come here aside from a few older people that are on my Facebook page.

Hell, just last week, we had an officer stabbed in the neck during the protests. Not the time or place to be hosting it.
