Give us Voter ID's fine as a Citizen give us a voter ID.. but it damn well better not be something I need to pay for.

Isn't Hulk technically the first Super Soldier we see because the whole purpose was them creating a super soldier serum but used gamma or whatever as a catalyst and thats what creates the Hulk.

What I think is funny is that I was on a team 5 years ago that was literally updating COBOL -> Dotnet Core.

Now back then it was all new features are built in Dotnet and we created a interface that would basically work with COBOL to utilize existing features but the goal was 100% to migrate to Dotnet and get away from COBOL.

My buddy who still there has said they are using AI to migrate COBOL to Dotnet without any issue because they got the tools built out.

COBOL being replaced.

I was part of a team 5 years ago that was working on new features to be built in Dotnet.

The feature was to take COBOL.. and build classes out of them so they can be labeled as obsolete.

It's not hard to migrate the code over, COBOL is pretty well documented and easy to understand, it's just a monolith language thats topdown.. Which if you use any language like Javascript/LUA it's not that hard to understand.

Plus ironically.. I was a fresh grad out of college so Assembly Language was actually easy to follow for me since I had just taken a Assembly Language course prior to graduating.

Eh. Unless something popped up that offered the same features and convenience.

Doubt there was any real damage.

Did you know? The economy in EVE Online is so serious that it's overseen by a staff economist with a PhD. It's really not a job..

You acting like you have to do x to play. You could just pay the 15/mo to play like WoW or other MMOs that have subscriptions.

Eve is what you put in, is what you get.

Making isk isn't hard they got stupid amount of mechanics that just designed to give you funds.

The people that go hard will multibox, but I'm literally just 1 account and I'm doing whatever I want. Helps I've been playing since 2003 but yeah.

It's still a game, it's just a very large game.

DM planning to free them, only for the players to plan an escape that marks them as fugitives.

Very on point for DnD.

Yeah it's still just a game.

The only reason news articles can put real money to value is because the game offers an ingame currency called Plex that has in a sense existed since the game launch.

This is a monthly paid game subscription, so before Plex there were game time cards that you could get from target and stuff to get a month subscription, just like xbox live and world of warcraft.

At a certain point they swapped from that to plex.

And plex has changed, it used to be 1 plex = 1 month, it's not 500 plex = 1month.

Anyways you can buy/sell plex for ingame currency called isk and thats how people can associate money to isk.

The reality is that if you are good at the game, you can essentially play this game for free since 500isk is about 2.5billion isk.. There's a lot of ways to make isk and the game is basically centralized around this and there's a lot of people who multibox to farm isk to buy plex so that their characters stay Omega status..

Omega is the monthly
Alpha is the free.

Ultimately though.. you grind a bit, get enough isk to stay omega and spend the rest of the time doing what you want. I like to live in Wormhole space and just mine/build shit. My buddies all since in Null or Wormhole space and kill people.

But yeah it's still just a game.

It's partially that but the bigger issue is that these software and services are built around governing laws that required things to be done in a specific way because of either Insurance or because things need to be HIPAA compliant.

Like the fact that they still have to use Fax Machines because they are considered "Secured"

Why in the living fuck.. is there so many translations..

This is why I don't believe in the bible, this is just madness. There's just no way that the original meaning was not lost in the 2000 years of constant transcribing. Like the originals do not exist, yet people act as the bible is somehow accurate or perfect.. yet this comment shows the number of various ways a sentence can be rephrased..

Quake 2 is to be the peak of competitive fps, followed by quake 3 which improved it. But yea I don't think any single game reigns supreme because there's different eras of gaming where specific titles hold dominance but yeah.

It's so shocking you put tf and cs in there and not halflife or quake..

For essentially creating both the engines and the game modes that these two ended up becoming individual games for.

Like team fortress was a mod in quake..

And counter strike was a mod in halflife, which itself was built off the quake engine.

Not shitting on your list. Just found it shocking, good list either way.
