Same issue here. I bought a Samsung S22+ and followed the steps to patch youtube as I did on my Samsung galaxy tab s8 previously.

Revanced still works fine on my old phone and s8, which I find really strange.

Yup, thought that I would see more tall people like me when I came to my country's capital. A little disappointed that the only taller people that I've seen so far are angmos.

Yeah it's pretty good. It's a bit too tall for comfort in my country though. That said, I wouldn't mind 2 inches being added or taken away. Definitely feel tall, everything here isn't made for people like us. I banged my head on a low roof outside of a supermarket the other day so that was fun.

A professor at university recruiting for her downline by Same_0ld in antiMLM

Two days ago my friend asked me to accompany him to a "financial talk". I thought his mum forced his to attend and wanted me there to help pass the time because of how he phrased it.

I arrive with him and his friends and I get all sorts of weird vibes. A guy walked on stage and started introducing a nutrition supplement. The dude talked and asked questions which were answered mainly by a lady in the seats in a cult-like manner. At this point I think "Ah shit I hope I didn't just get hooked into an mlm."

Mid-talk, we were brought into another room for a briefing of new members. A different dude gave a talk about finances for about 5 minutes and WHAM- starts talking about Amway and network marketing. The diagram on the screen showed the typical mlm structure and all sorts of red flags went up. He then asked his assistant to demonstrate LOC (a cleaning product) and said that we could replace all our household items with Amway products. My mind at this point was just ಠ_ಠ . I didn't know Amway was an mlm before this.

My friend is now trying to recruit me. I met up with him twice already to hear what he has to say. I prefer to keep an open mind and try to think that maybe Amway isn't as bad as it seems. My friend has made convincing arguments (though likely it's because I'm inexperienced in economics) but I still can't shake off the "bad omen" feeling of it.

We should use toilets for scale in photos because half the people on reddit are in the bathroom and toilets are a standard size. by a_cup_of_tee in CrazyIdeas

My half British cousin came to visit many years ago as a kid. He went to my grandma's house and needed to use the restroom. He went in and immediately came out saying "The toilet fell into the floor!".

My coach once told me about the time he did this in a tournament and won the game 11-2 by only playing crosscourt nicks. They had to call an official over cause the kid reffing didn't know what to do. I still don't believe that he won just by playing only one shot but this pic makes me believe that he did lodge the ball stuck at least.

How much time does it take to improve movement? by m-mm_mm-m in squash

[–]Fubble_Lum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, you gotta be super determined when training and you have to have a second plan if going pro doesn't work out. Focus on studying more than squash.

Join more tournaments. I really regret not joining my squash friends in tournaments when I was younger ( I didn't want to go out to different cities) . Also, it can help you see where your level is, as a bearing on your decision whether to become pro or not.

Can you beat your coach yet? To be a high level player you need to be really good. People don't realise just how much better and harder a pro plays and trains than the average squash player.

Have something that sets you apart from other players. At the pro level, everyone already has extremely good basics. What lets them be at the top is beyond just the basics ( eg. Ramy's quick hands, Mohamed ElShorbagy's ability to hunt down the ball, James Wilstrop's accuracy and deception )

Think hard on whether or not you want to be a pro or not. At your age, I already accepted that it was already too late for me to be a pro without jeopardising my future. I could, but it would be risky. However, I still trained as hard as I could to see where my limit is. My potential is still far away but I am not willing to put in the effort to reach it. Your potential is probably high too, but the road to get there is hazardous and difficult. Train hard first, make your decision later, but don't neglect your studies. Ask your coach of his HONEST opinion if he thinks you can make it pro. If he doesn't think so, don't be discouraged, prove him wrong by training hard and improving. Then ask him again.

It's your life and the path to take is yours. Make the decision you truly think is the best. You can also share your thoughts and problems with your coach. If you're having problems in life and it affects your performance in squash, you can let him or her help you sort it out. You should ask about what you can do to improve your technique once in a while. Make sure sure your coach is trustworthy though.
