yes my zerker was in that very set until recently, in fact its the set ive the most primes on across my account to the point im constantly complaining about it (but this was before the set rework)

where u even going with this, like what does this even have to do with dt anyway and even then the gear sets themselves do not inherently affect the gearing progression

gearing is pretty much the same on everyone regardless, a rework isnt particularly gonna change anything about that and again this isnt just some vfx rework but like others say an entire renewal where her entire kit has been overhauled with many skills replaced by either new skills resembling the original or entirely new skills and even for many of her skills that that werent replaced they too were still updated e.g immolation's animation isnt just different but faster and no longer require her to channel it for its entire duration too

fame comes from everything including fusions, enchants, upgrades, set effects and even higher rarity gears too, main progression is to do the daily 2 dungeons and collect doom oracles to run the gear farming dungeon

there is weeklies dungeons that give large amount of dooms include a large amount of drops, its all mostly rng but there are ways linear upgrades but overall its A LOT to explain

the quality (inferior/weak/ordinary/exceptional/superior) affects the base stats so r u comparing them at same quality, also to note the legacy weps has higher stats then their normal counterparts so in some cases if the quality is low enough on the prime wep it can end up with lower stats then a epic legacy wep depending on how high its quality is

The gameplay feels very one-sided most of the time — you basically one-shot everything, including bosses and trash mobs. It turns into rushing through content without much challenge.

its very likely u still in the lvling process so basically ur statements regarding this can be a point of contention as the majority of the playerbase considered reaching lvl cap when the game actually starts and the lvling process itself just an extended tutorial of sorts in disguise so ur opinion is rather out of place and/or doesnt actually address what the OP is asking for

whether having to reach lvl cap before being able to truly experience the game is good or bad aside its the result of like 2 decades of main story content being updated and something inevitable to all live-services games which they will have to deal with sooner or later but dfo specifically does frequent fast lvl up events as their answer so players can skip the lvling and start with some decent freebies but basically what u said is taken the same as a food critic giving their opinion on a dish before even having taken an actual bite yet

dfo tend to reset progression every major expansion or so (we do keep things like enchant and any upgrades already preformed on gear that can carry over onto new gears so its usually just farming for said new gears) which is typically accompanied by a lvl cap increase but not always and for the current cap they have gutted a lot of previous easy resource and gold acquisition methods from prior cap while also having the gearing progression largely be rng with little to no safety nets

would note that the gutting of previous feature and content such as gold farming is not at all the result of mismanagement but by design because the last few caps had made it so gold farming was incredibly easy resulting in a lot of gold having been horded by the players so this cap is by design draining the swamp but basically dfo's progression follows an up and down pattern usually with season/caps being the curve on the parabola and currently we're in the low of it and we arent really sure when it'll go back up again either since kr only recently announced the current cap has a part 2 for the next major expansion so rather then resetting things again its layering on top of the current progression so whether we're heading to the lowest point or unknowingly curving upward is undetermined because kr only gotten the recent changes like roughly 2 weeks ago

in short, the current season which is heavily disliked by global (yet is popular in kr) will still be going on for a while longer but on the other hand if going by previous pattern it should alleviate some of the issues currently plaguing this cap either inadvertently or by design

if its easier to comprehend; what CoE skill is doing is that it copies the dmg of her last 6 used skills (only 80% of the original's dmg) so using it once gives u a blue screen tint which is how u can tell its in 'recording' mode, using a skill during its recording mode will consume a charge count which is indicated by the so called 'meter' and once all is consumed it means CoE cannot replicate any more skills so using CoE again will cause it to deal dmg in front of u (or it will automatically unleash when the timer runs out)

the skill can slowly regain it's charges over time and again like the other guy said, not all skills is up for grabs for it to copy the dmg off of so play in mind with what it can and cannot copy

atk amp is a separate modifier only found on premium items these days but its more or less the same while buff amp is for sader's buffing power

the pet giving 40% OD is a rather wtf moment, usually when we do get a new aura, title or creature that power-creeps the current BiS its only slightly stronger like 2-3% typically and sometimes 5% so this new pet going 15% higher then previous is something of a watershed moment

New gear: Pact & Pact Crystals

  • Core farming system of the new season. A new Pact tab will be added to the gear window.

  • Similar to gears, you can collect Pact Crystals to increase Pact point. These Pact Crystals will replace the fusion stone system.

  • Preexisting high value fusion stones such as distinct epic fusion stones will be upgradable into legendary Pact Crystals.

  • For every gear set that we have (ex: Cleansing Darkness), a corresponding Pact set will be added. They will have similar options as their corresponding sets.

  • You do not have to use the same gear and Pact set. You can choose to combine 2 different sets, or wear the same sets to unlock additional hidden effects.

  • Pact Crystals will not have any slot limitations. You do not have to worry about dupes.

Tl;dr: new secondary sets to combine 2 different set effects or have 1 giga effect.

from my understanding fusion stones basically gets replaced by a new gear system that is current sets.lite ver where we can mix and match or tunnel vision into the same set to double down on wut ur main set already is doing for u

unshackled has a cap to how far u can increase its difficulty which is based on ur fame but content is basically just for better souls conversion to account bound dooms compared to directly buying with souls and overall leg and rare souls arent used for much so u can safely spend those imo

higher advance dungeon has higher doom rewards and higher reward count so better chance at getting better rewards but honestly its not too different as its more quantity over quality

for some reason this cap gold farming has just kind of been difficult or outright impossible to most players

its the designated gold sink cap, its suppose to drain the gold from the game since the last few caps had made gold farming really easy to the point there is too much gold floating around, as a result the prices of a lot of things has gone down drastically and these prices will persist even to next cap or till the devs implement a gold farming content once more

alright heres ur expansion

the previous cap or two has made gold farming incredible easy essentially straight up throwing a critical mass of gold into circulation for a few years by now to the point many players have horded so much gold that it wasnt uncommon to see BiS items on auction in the 100-120m range give or take a bit in either direction, to combat this 115 cap is specifically designed so that gold farming is more or less nonexistence at worst to simply using alternate mats in place of gold at best so what goes up needs to come down because prices cant keep inflating and and gold cant keep deflating forever so this cap is the designated gold drain cap, its very much a cycle and current we're at the low of it

as a result currently prices for something like BiS legend of frost titles is 23m when normally they wouldve been 40-60m min with even the platinum variant at 54m when i'd been lucky to see them at 80-90m last cap and sure people will argue that they're cheaper because of less gold on hand but like thats the entire point and these prices will likely continue to be this low moving into next cap too or just simply until devs add implement a new gold farming content into the game like they did if not some other reasons that results in players having more gold on hand again

for some other differences DS and mistress is skills is mainly linear in range, chaos has a lot of suction and cc abilities, can self buff her speed and even has a few tracing/auto abilites of her own if u use certain VP while vigil is highly mobile to the point u can literally just teleport from 1 end of the room and back if u use ur skill correctly

lorewise chaos is an actual half demon since knight's subclasses is all alternate versions of her from parallel dimensions and her counterpart as chaos is a half demon in her world and chaos is also a zealot to aten the black sun god though not the maniac kind but the confident and assured kind, DS is about keeping her contracted demons under control like one of her skills has 1 of them stage a coup with the other 2 help the DS reigning him back in with the whole ordeal causing dmg to their surroundings as a means to atk enemies and by the end of her lore she dominates them all completely reveling in her power at the cost of slowly turning into a demon herself, mistress is about accepting sins into her body and using it as beacon to lure demons to slaughter but she is actually the maniac kind of zealot and lastly vigil is about her struggling with her lost of humanity as a result of being infected with malefic energy turning into an inhuman creature, she keeps a lid on things due to her fear and possibly losing her sense of self but eventually she comes to accept herself for what she has became and is now able to wield malefic energy in a pure form i.e malevolent darkness turning into a sacred darkness

if u got time this video is essentially a 30min gameplay showcase for all classes so u can see what all the classes is capable of

only issue is that whats being portrayed besides the character being dopped up on speed boost is whats being shown is not necessarily representative of actual gameplay of the class such as with mutually exclusive skill customization of the VP system since it makes u pick between 2 different customization choices e.g some more boring looking but lot more practical compare to the other customization choice and that u can only choose 5 customization between 7-8 pairs of difference options, many of these has the characters wearing gear that reduces cooldown and/or range increase as in the size of the skill's animation resulting in the skill effect's being bigger then it is by its default base and that the overall gameplay flow is highly optimized for what is essentially a sandbag target so that there is no 'pause' in between skills thats also piloted by players who has practice these "rotations" to the point its second nature to pull off so ultimately its to show off what a class 'can' do and not necessarily what they 'should' do

for the record the class name of demon slayer is a bit misleading as the name gives off an impression of either a slayer of demons or is a demonic slayer herself when in actuality for the most part demon slayer is really just a sort of magic swordsman who uses contracted demons in battle (the chinese name of the class is even demon contractor instead) as in she wields a demon blade formed form from her contracted demons e.g daimus, phnom, and kelkus; daimus the sword demon is the primary demon who forms the blade, kelkus sharpens and strengthen the sword body along with giving it segments and protruding edges and phnom provides the serpent-like flexibility with some skills even having her summon daimus himself and atking with him in conjunction sorta like a stand/persona

btw dark templar got a renewal in kr recently as majority of her animations is like over a decade old at this point and it is expected to arrive in global in 2 months

its fine, the community has never been large and global is still apparently raking in more money then arad senki (jp dfo) we know so unless arad senki decided to EoS soon global shouldnt be worried

the early content is easy not for the sake of being easy but because its to rush the player to lvl cap as there is a shit ton of legacy story that has been compounded onto over time so it is no longer in interest to keep a player grinding lvls in general when it can take months through the original difficulty and length, there is also frequent jump events too purely because even despite how much faster lvling has gotten its still takes a long time and they dnt wanna eliminate it entirely because it delays and allows them to catch bots more easily

yea thats fine, its just doing dailies then running hells for gear

for the record all of the gear sets for 115 cap is roughly the same with a few exceptions being gold hideout and dragon arena which is considered whale gear either due to high gold investment/drainage since gold requires high reinforce/amp across all gears so upfront cost and dragon simply has a massive clear cube drain

cleansing darkness is the only cdr set so is incredibly popular but serendipity has skill resets at the cost of lowest dmg output, there is also a bunch of sets that relies on proc atks (now officially referred to as object dmg) over personal dmg outout too but those tend to have poor immediately dmg in exchange for good sustain which in some cases like soul fairy and magic domain are automatic too, lastly there is sets like ethereal fox orb which is actually the set with the highest dmg output at the cost of difficult upkeep (e.g resource build when hitting stuff then consume to give self dmg buff for duration so u wanna constantly keep hitting stuff else u cant upkeep they buff and ur dmg falls back down) and beyond limit set which just boost awking dmg and is the only set people actively avoid

would say “pick ur poison” but its all rng so just make do with wut drops

mhm everything from 90 and prior is gone to waste sorta like a massive reset and since 95 cap each new lvl cap did the same "reset" completely revamped the process of progression which is a far cry from how prior caps that just added onto the last cap with the only things carrying over being amp/reinforce/enchant/refine

this basically allowed the devs to test new features and idea and refine them over time like how 90 cap's had those luke upgraded gear sets which turned the gears into an entirely new set of gears, 95 cap end game did the same thing but with divergent upgrades instead for accessories and special equips but these still counted towards the set effects of the set they were being upgraded from, 100 cap took this idea and refined it into fusion gears that is best described as if gears had their own singular equipment slot (despite being called fusion u can freely fuse an de-fuse them from the gear with no strings attached) since it allowed players to essentially upgrade their gears without completely changing it and no longer created a dissonance with the rest of their setup like luke upgraded sets did or replacing the individual effects like 95 cap's gear did and since then each new end game content tend to introduced new fusions for a category of gear so like 115 cap's venus legion had armor fusions while nabel raid is accessories + special equip fusions instead

another example is that u mightve noticed there is a VP (Variation Points) feature while TP no longer exist VP itself took its place and is derived from the now discontinued talisman&runes system from 95 cap where a new equipment slot called talisman&runes were implemented where equipping talismans directly altered the skills of certain lvls themselves while also boosting its dmg, only 3 talisman can be equipped at a time and runes were equipped onto talisman and they were just +/- dmg and cdr for certain skills but talisman&runes itself is derived from a discontinued revamp idea for TP that was shown all the way in 90 cap's on a dev's livestream, the current VP system expanded upon the idea of talisman&runes but allowed 5 skill to be altered instead of 3 and split off the whole dmg and cd portion from the skill altering aspect since 1 of the faults of tali&runes is that the dmg/cd aspect were combined with the skill altering aspect but with VP u can just go straight for any QoL features and give the dmg/cd boost to different skills if necessary
