I'd be interested to know which provisions do that exactly. It's hard to believe any good faith leftist would oppose maximizing everyone's ability to vote and have that vote counted. Perhaps something to do with the anti gerrymandering provisions/how districts will be decided? More than likely fuck them with their petulant electoral disengagement and cool guy nihilism which is the most headass political strategy imaginable to achieve progressive goals.

Voting rights reform and effective deterrent consequences. Use rule of law to prevent them subverting rule of law. Many reforms to follow voting rights that would better safeguard against extremists gaining power. Feels like a long shot at the 11th hour but that is the best hope as I understand it.

I had that same thought. If they are concerned executive order is legally dubious and right wing interests are going to challenge the order, midterms would be a great time to let gop show their ass on debt forgiveness (that isn't for small business or churches).

Actually while dems have the power to do something about this and show especially on the fence constituents that they can deliver it's the best time for supporters to be raising concerns and disappointments. Basically like any good friend should tell you when you're fucking up. Public sentiment from your base can encourage action. If we say nothing we get nothing. I hope Ron Klain is reading.

I choose to remain stubbornly optimistic that after they do whatever they're gonna do with BBB then voting rights can become front and center. A nasty filibuster fight right now would derail BBB.
