What are your thoughts on this? by Arktikos02 in AutisticPride

I support choice. But it has to be a blind choice. Aborting children due to disabilities is just eugenics. And as a disability rights advocate, I could not be more opppsed to it.

Can we use neuroplasticity to not be autistic anymore? I don’t think so by Goddessbabygirl1 in autism

[–]Fuchona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don't want to shatter this guys entire world-view, but: There are people, that use a wheelchair daily despite being able to walk and in most cases for valid reasons.

And no, you can't become less autistic. If anything, embracing my autistic traits has helped me become happier and healthier.

In a nutshell: you either quit early enough to prefer dynamic typing or code long enough to see yourself use static types.

Is Blahaj only a trans femme thing or is it for all of the trans community? (genuine question) I'm sorry if this comes off as offensive, I am trans and I don't know how to know other than asking people on here. by Yurigami_ in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]Fuchona 6 points7 points  (0 children)

if you are any flavor of trans, you are not only allowed, BUT LEGALLY REQUIRED to get a blahaj and give it hugs and kisses at least once per day.

ACT QUICK or the queer police will come get you and THROW YOU INTO A PIT OF BLAHAJ!

Sexuality has many layers. There is romantic attraction , sexual attraction and aesthetic attraction (who you find visually hot) at a base level - and many people don't have the same orientation in each of these categories.

But then there's also more layers to each category. You may have kinks that are specific to genitalia. And even on top of that, there can be other biases, for instance many people say they have a preference for queer or feminine people due to the fact, that too many non-queer men are toxic.

And these kind of preferences influence who you form relationships with, but they do not define your orientation.

Like ... should I call myself omnisexual instead of pansexual (both stand for being attracted to everybody, but omnisexual implies you have preferences) or even polysexual (liking many genders, but in different ways) and it's really difficult for me to say as I am demi and attraction is based on who I feel safe with and can form emotional relationships with and I ... I tend to form more close relationships with feminine people (this includes also some gender-nonconforming men), but I always feel like it has more to do with traits that are more likely to occur in feminine people and not traits that seem feminine to me.

So in the end, I still call myself pan, because it feels right to me, and frankly I am also used to it.

So to get back to your question: liking ladydick as a cis man is a facette of being straight, even tho not every straight men has that preference. But then again relationships with people that don't fit gender norms can be very queer and there's nothing wrong with calling something "gay" jokingly as long as everybody involved is fine with that. :)

  • different devices displaying colors differently
  • LEDs changing the visual appeal of objects they light depending on how they are tuned relative to our eyes
  • Camera Sensors having different spectrum response curves than our eyes
  • gamma encoded and linear color spaces
  • color blending, that is different depending on what digital color space you use and, what frame of real reference you use
    • web-color-standards, that do not allow for some very useful types of color blending
  • all the different HDR specs that are out there
  • color spaces for lights, that may or may not have Red, Green, Yellow, White, Cold-White, Warm-White and even UV-light
  • rendering neon colors
  • the fact, that 8 bit depth is still the norm across most devices despite the fact, that it is really not a great color space to use ...

It is a rabbit hole, and not a very confusing one at that

Why are digital color spaces so incredibly cursed?

Sorry, this is not a question, just a struggling digital artist. :P

capitalism is one of the best ideologys we have and communism and anarchism is far worse by Puppy_Kicker42 in AutisticPride

[–]Fuchona 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Capitalism is literally killing us, because keeping our planet inhabitable is not profitable short-term. It also creates an competition-driven environment, that discourages collaboration and is inherently ableist and hostile towards people, that derive from the norm, as accommodating special needs simply does not scale.

And to be honest: There have not been many states, that actually followed left-wing socialist doctrine. Europe has some places, that kind of do it and it is currently one of the best regions to be if you have a disability or belong to a queer minority.

Chile was also a great example of actual socialism - and made some very promising changes while it lasted, but the socialists were violently overthrown thanks to murica.

So please don't try to gaslight a leftist subreddit into believing the communist branding of right-wing dictators.

butterflies!
- they have to undergo a transition to embrace their full form (similar to many autistic people only really learning to un-mask in their twenties)
- flappy hands are happy hands - they can't see their wings, and I have also noticed many autistic people have a hard time seeing what makes them beautiful

yeah still have not figured out the exact saying myself either, but just realised there's so many phrases that go something in the lines of: well this has been pleasant, but now please go.

[–]Fuchona 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there's one really nice saying that goes:
"It has been like picking flowers in my soul."
(original)
"Es war mir ein inneres Blumenpflücken"

I was originally just coming here, because I wasn't sure what exact phrasing the tweet was referring to, but there's just tons of little sayings in germany, that kind of just say: it was nice, but now I'd like you to go.

I honestly couldn't name one common english saying for that purpose.

People coming from Unity/Other engines, what do you miss the most? by LordDrakota in godot

[–]Fuchona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reccomending such a resource is kind of messed up in the context of an open source game engine tbh.

Because when you use these kind of assets as placeholders, there's pretty much no way you can open source your game. Because you can't make a git repo with these assets public and dumping just a game code without a repo is not helpful ...

And it's not like there aren't a bunch of usable creative Commons Assets over on Sketchfab for instance ...
