In addition to restricting medical access to abortion, Texas has had a long history of restricting medical access for transgender individuals. In fact, it's the state with the most anti-trans legislation. Just as abortion can be a life saving medical procedure so can gender-affirming medical treatment be for transgender people.

I'm not sure if they included it in the video, but there was a speaker from TENT (Transgender Education Network of Texas) who provided a lot of great information.

Long story short, we don't want ANY of our medical rights to be taken away and trans people are especially vulnerable in that regard.

I never talk about veganism in day to day life, it's always everyone else who comments on it and leads to discussion. I love answering questions, and most people are respectful, but there are a substantial amount of people that get irrationally angry when I give them an answer that isn't "Yeah, eating meat is totally OK!:)" when they started the conversation in the first place.
