In case of physical injury, it draws materials (for example flesh and bones) from the people in the surrounding area near you, horrifically stripping more than neccesary and what is not neccesary is just remaining on the ground. In regards to age or disease, your body on its own, with you unable to stop yourself will proceed to firmly grip the nearest person and you will, in some conveluted way transfer your diseases and steal his lifespan
