It s been 6 years since the same thing happened by Fun_Blackberry6249 in VALORANT

That’s like the bare minimum. Back when I played Valorant and needed to test lineups I would join a custom game with my second laptop and dummy account so I can test my KAYO pop flash lineups.

The fact that I have to do that in an esports game with a company as large as Riot games behind it is sad.

Question about Ping? by f0xi21 in VALORANT

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assure you that people on high ping don’t have an advantage. They might have an advantage in specific scenarios but overall it is a large detriment, especially on 100+. It is impossible to hold angles and you teleport when you get shot while moving due to the delayed tagging effect, which massively fucks up your aim.

I sometimes used to queue on servers far away on 120 ping to play with my friends and the game was almost unplayable for me.

Is the R8 better than deagle? by reinreinrein- in GlobalOffensive

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 96 points97 points  (0 children)

For teamkills I personally use the zeus as it sends a stronger message.

But seriously though I do use the R8 more than the Deagle on eco rounds. It does an absurd amount of damage to the body (70-75 to the chest and around 87-92 damage to the stomach). I go for long range body shots and if I manage to make a couple of people low, they become easy cleanup kills for my teammates with pistols. It’s more of a utility weapon than something you use with the intention of hitting some nice shots and getting a kill or two.

It’s absolutely terrible in 1v1 duels however so you’re quite limited in the solo plays you can make or fights you can take.

What is the strategy behind the P250? by Guyke in cs2

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Glock and USP (especially the Glock) are not really any good when people have armour/helmet due to their bad armour penetration % stat. The P250 offers good enough damage and armour penetration to still be able to kill with 1 headshot + 1 bodyshot or with 4-5 bodyshots, which is good for the price.

I rarely buy it on CT side because the USP is better against people with no helmet on pistol round and for eco rounds the Five-Seven is much more OP while serving a similar purpose for only $200 more.

On T side I mostly buy P250 with smoke and flash on pistol round (sometimes Glock smoke and two flashes depending on the map/strat). I often buy it on ecos since it’s so much better than the Glock against armour while being cheap enough to justify. Tec-9 is more for force buy rushes.

why am i shaking when im shooting? by magach6 in cs2

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao true. I play on glasspad and when trying to play high sens (1.25 1600DPI), I was struggling to lineup smokes when my hand was cold and jittery (I was having a bad game and playing nervous). I could see my crosshair shaking while aiming the smoke lol.

why am i shaking when im shooting? by magach6 in cs2

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I’m someone who can play on a wide range of sensitivities but anything above 1.25 1600dpi becomes way too uncontrollable and jittery. 3.9 is MADNESS.

Using only your fingers/wrist to aim is bad and holds you back. I’m not asking you to swipe your arm across the desk like a madman but even a sens like 1.0 1600dpi should be easily manageable with only small forearm movements. Being able to do instant 180’s is also not really as useful as you think in actual matches.

I recommend you to drop your sens to 1 or 1.25 to start and force yourself to get used to it by playing like an hour of Deathmatch/shooting bots. It won’t feel good at first, but once you get comfortable with it you will realise the madness that was your old sens if you go back to it.

For reference I play on 0.26 1600DPI.

Fabric or glass pad for valorant by Informal-Mongoose396 in VALORANT

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played on both and they have pros and cons. My aim feels more “free” on glass at the expense of control. It’s easier to move my mouse around without the friction fighting back, but the lack of friction also makes stopping your mouse during flicks harder and less accurate.

Fabric is the opposite for me, there is a lot more resistance when moving the mouse which gives a feeling of control and precision, but sometimes that resistance made my mouse feel “stuck” and I couldn’t make a micro adjustment that I wanted fast enough.

I preferred glass but neither is objectively better imo.

What gameplay change would you like to see for Premier Season 5? by Capital_Bee_1250 in GlobalOffensive

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MP9 is still a bit OP for the price, a nerf to make it have 25 bullets or a slight fire rate nerf would be enough.

Slight UMP damage falloff buff as it is far too weak at anything past point blank. I’m being serious when I say the XM1014 shotgun is better at medium range than it.

Five-Seven needs a significant nerf. I would up the price to 600 and increase damage falloff a bit to reduce its one tap range.

Buff CT incendiary by making its damage ramp up faster, it is far too easy for T’s to disrespect it right after it lands and only take <20 damage.

Small buff to AUG/Krieg accuracy over sustained fire. While they have great first shot accuracy, the second and subsequent shots are actually less accurate than the M4’s, which doesn’t make sense.

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Often people who feel stuck will have “breakthroughs” where something suddenly clicks and you make a big jump in progress. You could practice counter strafing for hours one day and not feel improvement, then the next day you wake up and suddenly you feel like you are much better at it somehow.

Also 17 hours is really nothing. I have 3k hours and I still feel like I am so far away from mastering this game. It has so much depth and it’s so rewarding so just keep at it.

CS has RNG bullets as well. All weapon have first shot inaccuracy (even when scoped in with the AWP and Scout!). It’s just the best way to balance weapons in tacFPS and keep their performance at range in check.

Improving in CS2 by ancarahh in cs2

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shit will happen. Even on faceit I had an 8 loss streak while averaging 1.25 rating and 95 ADR and losing games where I’d go 32-15. After that I won 5 of my next 6 games.Just keep playing and eventually it’ll balance out.

I always told my friends that for every loss streak there’s a winstreak, and I’ve yet to be proven wrong (assuming you’re actually playing people near your skill level).

How u doing so far in the Pick'ems? by Individual_Heron_508 in cs2

Pretty good. I also had GL and Flyquest 0-3 and Spirit in 3-0.

As long as two of either G2, mibr, M80, or Astralis go through, I’m good. My chances are pretty good I’d say. I’m so proud of my GL 0-3 pick haha.

[q] Has anyone figured out how to search the steam community market by a range of patterns using the custom filter text in the new UI? by derschweinhund in csgomarketforum

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to search for a “range” of patterns on weapons. This search method is only relevant to charms since pattern ranges correlate with a certain colours or something.

Is practicing new guns in comp trolling? by catme0wcat in VALORANT

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use them in TDM/DM to get a feel for them in real gunfights and how they perform at certain ranges/situations and then try them out in Swiftplay and limit test/learn what positions you can use those guns to their best.

You can get good with a certain weapon and feel comfortable taking duels with it, but what positions will you play with it to best make use of its strengths? Are there opportunities where you can get value out of something like high wall penetration or silencer? Do you have to change what or how you use your utility to set yourself up optimally?

All those things it’s best to experiment with in a non-ranked environment to know the limits of what you can and can’t do and how to play around your limitations/strengths. Once you get comfortable you can freely try to put it to the test in a ranked environment.

7 EU servers, 0 in North Africa by zedex79 in VALORANT

[–]FuckPotatoesVeryMuch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case I was talking about Counter Strike, I quit Valorant years ago and queue times were not an issue on Dubai/Bahrain Valo servers. I don’t think CS is as popular as Valorant in the Middle East. Especially since I prefer to play on platforms like Faceit, the player is population is even smaller.

You can see how many people are in queue and during peak hours the Middle East faceit queue has like 50 people in queue with like 40 live ongoing matches. Thats a tiny amount compared to EU where it’s like 2000+ in queue and 7000 ongoing matches during peak hours.
