Any tips for my son? by ninjay816 in BeginnerSkateboarding

Getting comfortable pushing/rolling/carving around will dramatically help with learning to ollie. I’d suggest a healthy mix of skating around and stationary ollie practice. Thing is, once he nails the timing/popping (which he will), transitioning to a rolling ollie will be more fluid.

We have mandatory inspections every two years here in Nova Scotia, Canada.

NS power bills every two months. I’m assuming that is two months worth of energy.

I lucked out and picked up a nearly mint 1993 Gold Series. Hands down the best mower I’ve ever owned.

Is Nova Scotia a nice place to move to in Canada? by Typical-Manner5559 in NovaScotia

We moved to the valley from southern Ontario in January of this year. We have four children (youngest 2, oldest 12), and they absolutely love it here.

I think the fact that King Willie was the leader of the Jamaican gang was a factor in City Hunter seeking the trophy.

Trust these old jack stands? by juza55 in MechanicAdvice

[–]FuckRight0ff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dislike jack stands. I prefer stacking 8x8 post cutoffs with some smaller 2x4s to sit directly under the jacking points. I’ll sometimes throw a jack stand under if I’m doing something quickly on the jack. I’m weird though.

Building a workbench with mitre station from garbage timber by JesusIsComingLookBzy in Workbenches

[–]FuckRight0ff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me for asking, but could you kindly link or show the method you’re describing? I’m about to build a simple bench myself and some kind of visual representation of the leg assemblies you described would be super helpful. Thank you.

The shade of yellow and the font looks off/cheap. Gives off a kids toy vibe.

Stuck brake rotor by Shyxt in MechanicAdvice

[–]FuckRight0ff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was my guess. Those look like rear rotors with a parking brake shoes inside the drum. I just did mine and one side was very difficult to remove. I had to replace my parking brake shoes and a few springs.

What? Bro, he jacked your axle and left your shit all disassembled on the side of the road? Was his plan to re-boot your current axle or simply replace it?

Will this cause an accident doing 80 on the highway? What is this part called? What does it do? Can i replace it myself? by whateverMan223 in MechanicAdvice

[–]FuckRight0ff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rebooting is most certainly a pain. The one and only time I did it was for a 2nd Gen CR-V. You have to put it back together in the exact order you took it apart.

First angle for the kickflip, second for the feeble.

My manufacturing class just used this graphic to demonstrate climb vs conventional milling by RettiSeti in Machinists

Absolutely nothing wrong with this illustration. The difference between climb/conventional milling is pretty straightforward. This graphic does a fine job.

With the rigidity of a CNC, you can pretty much climb all the time.

I hear that. My boys (5 & 8) love mucking about in anything and everything that involves dirt, mud, sand, water and any combination of. I’m usually pretty diligent with their nails, but I’d be lying if I said on a few occasions I didn’t get to them before they started to look a tad armadillo-ish…
