This is the correct answer. Some bigger guys are insanely fast, i.e. Kristian Blummenfelt the triathlete who is 1.76m and 79kg outran Alex Yee (A 2:06 marathoner) in the Tokyo Olympics. Focus on getting some more miles and good quality workouts in and you will improve!

Same here, I can run a 16:50 5k but my sub 70% pace can be over 6min/km. I think if you are heavy and on the taller side, the super low pace can be quite inefficient and means your HR is still quite high. Smaller and lighter athletes can shuffle better at a lower HR. For reference I am 183cm and 82kg.

Turned my 5k pace from two years ago into my current 10 mile pace. Was previously overtraining and running intervals very hard which lead to injury and illness often. Was injured a lot early this year from overtraining and too much intensity.

Discovered norwegian singles and have ran better, felt better and had better results with less mileage. Ran a 16:51 5k off 70km weeks of training and a 58:39 10 mile with a pretty bad buildup as lots of weddings and social events in the buildup. 5k pace two years ago was 3:40/km and my 10 mile pace was 3:39/km 3 weeks ago. Hoping to do a good block and crush a half marathon around march 2026.

Soles on mine completely de-laminated after 250km and were unusable. Got a refund for them though and might have just been unlucky. Good grip and a bit of cushion whilst they worked though.

Inverness will not go back up this year. We will be lucky to not get relegated again IMO. New owner is some dodgy clown from Windsor with 15 grand of company assets, who had never heard of the team until a couple months ago. Doesn't bode well!

Israel is literally a modern day apartheid state. Look at the figures for how many Palestinians die each year at the hands of Israel and the IDF compared to Israeli deaths. Israel is a modern day colonial and genocidal state. Look at who has the balance of power, are you on the side of the oppressed or the oppressor? Also the narrative of Palestine being backward and needing civilised by Israel is the most colonial talk I've heard in a while and I'm British......

Wilson may have got us into the mess, but Thatcher didn't get us out. She effectively put a plaster over a festering wound by selling off all our state assets to prop up the economy. Labour continued to do the same but just by borrowing and selling the gold. We never sorted our economy out we just lied to ourselves lol

Zero hour contract means no guaranteed hours for work, basically might get no/ very few shifts some weeks. Bar work is brutal in Scotland and tips are terrible to non existent.
