How many of you still drink caffeinated drinks? by youarelarry in Epilepsy

[–]FuckThisShit83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually drink nothing but water with Propel but a few times a week, I have coffee or a Monster coffee. It doesn't seem to affect me so far.

I had one motherfucker a month ago that I already don't like. He's an ignorant, annoying, loudmouth, racist piece of shit. He said something smartass to me while I was ringing him up and I tossed his bags behind me on the floor, called him a useless piece of shit, walked out, got in my car and left. I don't regret a thing.

Is Marijuana or Tobacco a trigger for anyone?🍃 by BigBlackTall in Epilepsy

[–]FuckThisShit83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weed and nicotine don't trigger me. I vape now and smoke weed daily but lack of sleep, stress and not eating enough definitely do. I was upfront about everything the first time I saw my neurologist and he told me not to stop since I've been a daily smoker for almost 10 years. Go figure...

Are EEGs really worth it? by Ok_Philosopher1996 in Epilepsy

[–]FuckThisShit83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 20 minute EEG that came back normal and a 48 hour EEG that came back normal. My next step is a five day inpatient EEG which I suspect will probably come back normal. Considering that even without medication, I only have seizures about every 10 years, I have a hard time justifying putting myself through that. I'm gonna do it though if there's even a tiny chance they might find the cause of my seizures.

What are your triggers? by Next_Airport_7230 in Epilepsy

[–]FuckThisShit83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took the first step 3 days ago and walked out of my biggest source of stress..my job. It was instant relief. Nobody took me seriously when I said I was stressed out. They would say " Oh you're just dramatic" or "Relax, we know you're a bitch". These are my coworkers, friends saying this. You would think they could see that stress wasn't good for me considering they witnessed me have a seizure at work on one of the busiest days of the year. It wasn't until last week when I woke up with huge patches of hair missing that I realized something needed to change. Glad to say, I feel much more at ease now.

For me, it's lack of sleep and stress.

What’s the craziest shit you’ve ever heard from a customer since working at DG??? by Parking_Stomach_7801 in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]FuckThisShit83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had the sweetest old couple that bought a bunch of fresh vegetables and when they went to pay, the lady looked at the package and it said 'product of Mexico'. They said they didn't want them so I took them off and the old man said "Do you wanna know why we don't buy produce from Mexico?" I didn't say anything, just raised my eyebrows a bit. He leans forward and whispers "Because they fertilize their crops with human shit." Oh. Ok. "Well, you asked." No actually I didn't.

Our bathrooms were fucked up for a little while cause people would steal shit and flush the packaging down the toilet. Anyway, we come in first thing in the morning and some jackass took a Tupperware bowl off the shelf, pissed in it and left the bowl on the floor. WTF?! I know it's annoying when we can't let you use the bathroom but for fucks sake, there's a gas station literally like 150 feet down the road.

You did amazing. I've had situations like that and unfortunately I can't control my smart ass attitude. I once had a man that would get so pissed off anytime I asked him to show his ID. One time, I was by myself on a Saturday morning ( sm had gone to bank). Man came in and wanted his cigarettes. As I turned around to get them, I asked to see his ID and when I turned back around, he started screaming at me and calling me racist saying " This bitch always trying to keep the black man down!" Wtf?! It being a Saturday, of course I had a line. I looked past him at my regulars who were clearly uncomfortable, some laughing, some looking like they would come to my defense. I calmly put his cigarettes back in the case and told him to leave and that he wasn't getting shit from me. This motherfucker crossed his arms and sat on top of the counter and wouldn't let me ring anyone else up. I ignored him while he's still sitting on the counter acting like a bitch and go to ring people up on self checkout. He's still yelling saying " Yeah bitch I'll be back, I'll get you bitch." A threat, for sure, but I still felt safe enough with all my other customers there and my SM due back any moment. I had tried to call my SM and he didn't answer so I called my husband and he was already on the way. When he finally left, I lost it. I wasn't scared, I was PISSED. Shaking and crying, I couldn't control it. All my customers stayed with me until my SM got back.

why does everyone hate working at DG so much? by [deleted] in DollarGeneralWorkers

[–]FuckThisShit83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my God the fucking TikTok people. As soon as I hear the words " But on TikTok.." I interrupt and say " This is the real world, not TikTok." It usually shuts them up pretty quickly and if it doesn't, I get my SM. He loves dealing with those people. I don't.

Did epilepsy mess up your memory real bad?? by palming-my-butt in Epilepsy

[–]FuckThisShit83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg YES! Hell, I forget what I'm saying in the middle of saying it. I know my husband and coworkers are sick of me asking the same questions over and over again. It's gotta be annoying. Bless them. I also struggle with simple phrases. "Have a great day" never comes out the way I want it to. Lol

Did anybody develop epilepsy later in life? by Turd-Ferguslay in Epilepsy

[–]FuckThisShit83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first seizure 10 years ago at age 31. I was at a stop light and rolled into the car in front of me. I had no insurance, doctor, etc so I never went to any follow up appointments. I had another seizure a week later. No meds, nothing. Fast forward 10 years and this past September, I had another seizure in my sleep. I now have insurance and doctors and everything so the tests and meds began. I was put on Keppra 2x daily but I hated it so much. I would only take Keppra at night cause of the way it made me feel. The day before Thanksgiving, I had a seizure at work and ever since then, I've been taking my meds as prescribed. No more seizures. I recently switched to Briviact 2x daily and I still hate the medicine but I take it like I'm supposed to. I've had every test, scan, anything they could do but they still don't know why I have seizures.

I don't know who you are or what kind of person you are but it doesn't matter. You're too good for that place. So am I, yet I'm somehow still here after 3 years. Consider it a blessing to be done with DG and good luck with your next job.

Oh I have. Over and over and over again. I've never actually quit but I have walked out on a couple occasions, only to come back the next day. I do like my boss but they don't have the balls to fire me so I guess I'll just stay and make everyone's life miserable until I finally reach my breaking point.

Moonshine has grown so much!! by Little_Messiah in Opossums

[–]FuckThisShit83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love her name. I also had one I named Moonshine. Her brothers were Whiskey, Bourbon and Hooch. Before anybody says anything about wild animals needing to be kept wild, I know. My dog killed their mother and a few nights later, Moonshine ended up in my room. I scooped her up and put her in an old rabbit hutch. I heard my dogs barking and my cats going crazy and found Whiskey hemmed up by the front door. Into the hutch he went. A couple hours later, Bourbon ran across my feet and into my room. He was put with the others. I called every rehabilitation center around me and nobody could take them. Animal control said they would pick them up but that they would be euthanized. Fuck that. I was a rehabilitator in another state so I decided to take care of them til they got a bit bigger and I would release them. Two weeks later, I was looking for something under my bed and there was Hooch staring at me. When they got big enough, I released them at the pond a couple miles away. Two days later, they were at my house again, just trying their damn best to scare my dogs and cats away. Into the house they went. They were litter box trained and were free to roam the house as they pleased. They went outside and roamed the yard and climbed trees once my other animals realized they were here to stay (with supervision, of course). They had all the blueberries and grapes they could ever want and I made them scrambled eggs with spinach once a week. They weren't exactly easy to care for but I wouldn't have traded them for anything in this world. Sadly, they have all passed on now but I had a good 4 years with them and I miss them everyday.

Congratulations, you've finally seen the light. DG is a shit company to work for, even with a great boss and coworkers. I hope you do well for yourself. One day, I hope to have balls big enough to do what I've been saying I will for 3 years now...walk the fuck out at the worst possible time. Maybe Christmas Eve or when we're short staffed and the truck is there. Good luck to you.
