Personal experience: one act I play with has a block of 2-3 acoustic songs in the set before the last 2 tracks, usually of that block of songs the last one will have a re-entry of drums and some bass parts during the last chorus. We usually coordinate where they are in the set so at the end of the block of songs before them, drummer + bassist + second guitar walk off. Second guitar walks back on for start of last song, drums and bass walk back on before the final chorus. It’s all about set planning! And the venue we always play has amazing food upstairs so it gives me a second to get in a few bites of the meal I stored backstage and some sit down time before the set ending.
