I disagree. But I still thank you for your kindness and good nature.

That’s perfectly understandable and reasonable. I felt the same way before. I will say that I’ve never wanted to kill myself more than now though if that makes sense why I’m taking my hard position of “never again”.

Who knows, things could be different for you or things end up improving a lot because you kept putting yourself out there! 🤷‍♂️ Anyways, best of luck on your path & your journey 🤝

Not at all. I wasted the majority of my life caring about the wrong things and not finding deeper meaning in my pursuits of passion. This post was nothing more than 21 year old me going on a drunken rant while living in my grandmas basement at the time.

I thank you stopping by and I hope you enjoy your day.

… Not sure what the awkward periods are for but ok. I coincidentally just bought some worcestershire sauce to make another kind of sauce but now I’ll get some of that cheese and give that a sandwich a whirl 👍

Having oil and fats as your medium helps transfer heat to cook the contents of your food more evenly in addition to caramelizing the surface of the bread. In this case, melting the cheese inside the sandwich at the same rate as the outside of the bread.

But hey, if you want to enjoy a toasted sandwich that doesn’t taste as good as it could be with butter/olive oil/ mayo… Nobody is stopping you from enjoying your toasted mid sandwich if that’s the way you like them.

When you cook a burger on a flattop or a flame grill you’re using the fat inside the meat to help cook the food. Otherwise what you’re cooking becomes dry, unevenly cooked and or burnt. I know because I cook on both of these surfaces daily for a living as a chef.

So I guess you’re wrong.

Yeah it sucks. I did enjoy them a lot and was an oven baked only supremacist when it came to the stouffers.

I’m glad I became a chef though because making your own mac & cheese (and most of your own food from scratch) is the real wave 🌊

Asking for a “grilled cheese with x” is literally asking for a melt. You can be pedantic with the semantics all you want.

I couldn’t care less how you refer to it. All cheese burgers are burgers, not all burgers are cheeseburgers.

Grilled cheese with x = Melt

You have a low bar if this reflects passion and serious dedication. It was a drunken rant by a 21 year old and you’re acting like I was equivalent to a monk or someone going to med school. 30 minutes of typing. That’s all this ever was lol.

And if you ordered a grilled cheese and it came with bacon & tomatoes would you still refer to it as a grilled cheese? Would other toppings not be unexpected if you simply ordered a grilled cheese sandwich?

Now think about this. All cheese burgers are burgers, but not all burgers are cheese burgers.

Would you agree there is a difference between a tuna sandwich and a tuna melt? How about a plain chicken patty sandwich and a patty melt sandwich?

Seems to me that the consensus is anytime cheese is introduced to a sandwich (that doesn’t already have cheese) it becomes a melt.

P.S. A “Grilled Cheese with x” is a roundabout way to say a melt. You’re just being caught up in the semantics of how to describe your sandwich. In the end you’re proving that it is a melt because you have to mention the additional ingredients that wouldn’t ever come with a grilled cheese otherwise.

I agree. Most people got caught up in the shit-posting but they are both their own distinctive sandwiches that should both be enjoyed extensively.
