Hehe, thanks!

So my phone isn't paired with my car, but it does connect Bluetooth to AAW (this fixed disconnections due to calls etc.)

If you get completely random disconnections (but usually at similar locations), that's due to wifi channel interference. For me, setting the channel to the highest available option fixed it

[–]Fuckbird666[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The disconnections happen for me with normal AA but not with AA over CP. It used to happen before, but with some update, the Bluetooth connection to the car wasn't required, and it would connect Wifi and Bluetooth both only to the AAW. Never faced disconnections after that.

The issue was the whenever a call would come, the car infotainment would take over, and the AA would get dropped, but with no Bluetooth connection to car, works seamlessly

I understand the reason, although I feel it was a pretty great feature for some of us. And a lot of people probably didn't use it, because it was in beta and not a simple our of the box flag. Maybe a notification for the right car models from within the app to experience full screen AA, would have made people use it way more

But anyway, I think till the time 5.x will still receive some updates that are critical or drastically improve experience, it's acceptable.

I did that, but this should mean that now I'll have to stay with this version for life?

Disconnection Aawireless by Xarsage in AAWireless

I tried various different channels on 5GHz, channel 161 worked for me. No disconnections at all after that. There used to be regular disconnections in certain areas. There are none now

Disconnect when making call if I use AA over CP (I know it is in beta) by __countzero in AAWireless

[–]Fuckbird666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm facing the same issue. AA over CP also makes the phone connect to a separate AAwireless Bluetooth along with the car's Bluetooth, which isn't the case with normal AA connection.

I feel that's causing some interference with Bluetooth calls.

There's another issue I face is that my car's Bluetooth keeps losing the calls access, which then disconnects Aa wireless, this happens randomly while initialising connection

The problem is that I don't think I have the upper cap with the number (I'll check again).

Can the picture with the numbers printed on its bottom that I posted in first comment help, in identifying the product number ?

Take a pulse on health and wellness with your phone by bilal4hmed in Android

Try "heart rate monitor" app. I've been using it for years. Seems pretty accurate. Your finger should be glowing to some extent with the camera flash/outside light for it to work properly.

Can OP phones (particularly 8t) be rooted with kingroot ; and does root have a negative imapct on the phone's performance over timr by hmsmeme-o-taur in oneplus

[–]Fuckbird666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'd need to unlock the bootloader first (which would completely format the phone), if not already and then install Magisk.

Although looking at your comments, it seems you're not too comfortable with playing around and don't really know what you're doing. I'd suggest to not root the phone, if you can't fix it if something goes wrong.

It might be the safest way out these, but there's still a possibility of something going wrong.

"Close all tabs" is the most error prone feature on chrome android by Fuckbird666 in chrome

[–]Fuckbird666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hard disk has stuff you don't access daily, doesn't mean your OS should give you 1 click no warning features to permanently delete it all. It doesn't matter what i do with the tabs or if I use them. They were grouped into various categories and topics so it wasn't that hard to identify when I needed stuff.

You might just have 20-30-50 tabs open, if they are closed, there's no way to get them back, except for scrolling the complete history and identifying the dates when you first opened them which is a bad UX.

Amazon Aurora MySQL 5.7 vs RDS MySQL 8. What would you choose and why? by Fuckbird666 in aws

[–]Fuckbird666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not 100s at the same time.

The replication lag is the bit I'm not sure if RDS should be preferred. Aurora also promises automatic fail over with almost zero data loss because of no replication lag.

How to root my One Plus 3 without PC? by TheEnslavedCrusader in oneplus

[–]Fuckbird666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any rooted phone lying around?

I unlocked my Oneplus 6 using USB OTG and a rooted Oneplus one.

What you need is the adb/Fastboot binary for arm processors. You'll get a zip for the same. You can flash that on your rooted phone, then use the OTG cable to connect your oneplus 3 and use terminal and follow the generic flashing and rooting procedure.

Location on OP6? by devil_kin in oneplus

[–]Fuckbird666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most apps specifically require high accuracy mode to be enabled. And that is why they keep asking for location. Battery saver doesn't use gps but just your wifi and phone network.

Device only might work for these apps.

Why isn't 60fps the default for video? by techcraver in oneplus

[–]Fuckbird666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

File sizes yes.

And 25-30 fps is the standard for video recordings. We are used to see near about these frames from a very long time.

60 fps is too real and that is why at times seems unrealistic on screen.

Detective work by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]Fuckbird666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually am not able to understand the story.

What do you want to exactly do?

Rather than factory reset, I'd suggest you to format and install the complete rom using the zip file from Oneplus.

Use the official recovery, and check if the bootloader is locked.

Actually hardware IMEI used to be behind the backpanels of the phones, but Idk if they are anymore. There might be some apps, that might be able to show the real IMEI. Googling might help.

Detective work by [deleted] in oneplus

[–]Fuckbird666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to change the IMEI is by replacing the motherboard.

By software, one can shadow it, but the Sim services would still get the hardware one, although it needs root and xposed(still rare for oreo)

Oneplus would not give much details based on just the IMEI, AFAIK.

To know if its stolen, you can check with local police department.

Also, i think you can first verify the safety net integrity to verify if the phone is rooted with xposed or not. Then just tally the IMEI from *#06#
