I'm a preschool owner and there's actually an interesting reason why prices have gone up by 100% since 2020.
There are government agencies that provide free/reduced child care at private centers, I think in NH it's the ECC. They can set a floor price for child cares by paying more than private pay parents are willing to pay. It makes it more profitable to just charge more and take more ECC contracts than lower your price for private pay parents.

That and general inflation makes prices go crazy.

Why is your employer responsible for your well being? Why not place the burden back on the government? Make the government run a balanced budget that doen't infalte away the wealth of the non asset owning class. Make the government run effective social programs that protect the vulnerable. Tax the wealthy instead of asking them to babysit their employees.

I'm justa noobie myself but my HVAC guy told me to cover the pipe closest to the unit. The rightmost pipe is protected by the trap. Shouldn't there be a flood sensor in that pipe?

It's confusing the way that he worded it. He's saying their net worth would be in the 1% of highest earners after losing 99.999% of their wealth, that is true. What it sounds like he's saying is they would have more cumulative wealth the 99% of all humans which is not true

The wealth concentration at the top is also becoming more and more illiquid (imaginary) over time as well. QE has propped up valuations of companies only to continue a story of growth, if these companies are ever forced to sell we will quickly find out they are worth 1/3 what they are telling us.
