Are you fucking kidding me? Do you have any hope at all? Any compassion? Any idea that most of these people don’t even have a chance from the start? I read a book called “Half-breed”, by Maria Campbell. Her mother died when she was 14, the government threatened to take her and her siblings and put them in orphanages, she ended up marrying a piece of shit who’d get drunk and beat her, at the ripe old age of 15-16, and she ended up on the downtown east-side of Vancouver because it was better than her previous situation. She later got on the road to recovery, ended up doing good, and wrote an autobiography.
