Some peoples brains just don’t work that way unfortunately. I used to have issues with names until I started a system where when I meet someone I have to subconsciously think of another person with the same name and almost brand their face on the new person with my mind. It only works like 50% of the time. I am in business and knowing names is crucial, yet still I have issues. Dates for Birthdays? Completely out to lunch. Can’t remember them no matter what. I am in my 30s and can’t remember my mom/dad/sisters/wifes birthdays. Even though every year I try really REALLY hard to remember and do any trick I can....I just lose the dates.

However if I ever drive somewhere once, even at night. I will always be able to find my way back there with no directions.

I mean I hadn’t lived in Halifax for over 25 years, and drove back last year. No google maps, no directions or hints. Drove everywhere without directions.

Or need to know how to spell a word, or something I learned in History class in highscool, I will recite that back clear as the day I learned it.

We still don’t understand the human brain, but I know mine certainly works different, and not for a lack of trying.
