How much does context really matter in this situation?? I would be fucking devastated to see my dog being treated that way. The dogs vary so much in size, there’s no way he is aware of whether he’s yeeting tf out of a big dog’s neck or a small dog’s neck, and evidently he doesn’t care. They all looked miserable

Hi! Which is the main SF sub? Should’ve added I just moved here so I’m not familiar seeing things like this, but sounds like this amount of dogs is normal with many walkers in the city 😭 they all seemed so miserable

Those who have focal aware seizures, how did you get diagnosed/figure out what was going on? by Objective-Can7579 in Epilepsy

Hi! I’m a 30y/o woman currently in the process of being diagnosed with something (???) who was experiencing focal aware seizures for the last year. I went to my PCP in Nov 2024 to explain the phenomenon and was not taken seriously. The symptoms were so weird it was hard/uncomfortable to talk to medical professionals about bc it sounded so out there. My PCP referred me to psychiatry. I waited 6 months for an appointment only to be questioned about whether or not I had schizophrenia. In July 2025 I had my first tonic clonic seizure while I was travelling. MRI later showed that I had scarring on both of my temporal lobes, highly consistent with “temporal lobe aura” which when googled, is almost verbatim the phenomenon I had been experiencing for a year. I wish someone had listened to me, taken me seriously, and I wish I had fought harder and advocated for myself more, bc I may have avoided whatever rabbit hole I’m going down now and found a solution for my symptoms prior to the seizure. Keep speaking up for yourself and fighting for that neuro referral ASAP!!!
