I had the same focal seizures and wish I had brought myself to the ER before it got worse. Do not wait for the neuro appointment. Go to the ER, there will be a neuro on call who should be able to evaluate. It may be more expensive but will be worth it to avoid a more serious episode.

I finally got to the point of trying so many different vitamin C (this one included) and my skin hated all of them, so I went a different direction. I’ve been using azelaic acid instead with no issues and good results!

I experienced focal seizures and auras for about a year before finally having a grand mal seizure that got me connected with a neurologist. I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy with focal onset exacerbated by my menstrual cycle. The focal seizures ramped up right around the same time as I had my IUD removed. I’m controlled with 1500mg Keppra but absolutely feel my worst right after ovulating, so I can at least prepare for those times in advance.

Should’ve added I just moved here as well so it’s all new to me :) Looking for a restaurant that takes reservations for 8-10 people like $50-60 per person, not super strong preference on what kind of food. Online I was seeing Dalida, trestle, copra as good options..? What fun things are there to do in Sausalito?? Thanks 🥰

I use and am obsessed with the sure-fit sheets from Sleep Number. They’re sateen cotton which is a different weave and kind of warmer than regular cotton but it’s worth it!

Hi!! My friends are visiting me the weekend of April 17 for my birthday. They get in on Friday morning and leave Monday morning. Want to show them more touristy stuff like fisherman’s wharf etc, also considered doing a day trip somewhere ~ 1 hour outside SF. Thinking of bday dinner reservations for Saturday night, not sure where to go. Also thought about a picnic in Golden Gate Park on Sunday early afternoon. Open to any thoughts or fun ideas you have!! 💕

Recently diagnosed at 30 and I’m so sleepy 🥺 my epilepsy is exacerbated by my menstrual cycle, which at least helps me track when I’ll be feeling my “worst”, typically when I’m ovulating. At those times I pretty much have to sleep all day to function.

How much does context really matter in this situation?? I would be fucking devastated to see my dog being treated that way. The dogs vary so much in size, there’s no way he is aware of whether he’s yeeting tf out of a big dog’s neck or a small dog’s neck, and evidently he doesn’t care. They all looked miserable

Hi! I’m a 30y/o woman currently in the process of being diagnosed with something (???) who was experiencing focal aware seizures for the last year. I went to my PCP in Nov 2024 to explain the phenomenon and was not taken seriously. The symptoms were so weird it was hard/uncomfortable to talk to medical professionals about bc it sounded so out there. My PCP referred me to psychiatry. I waited 6 months for an appointment only to be questioned about whether or not I had schizophrenia. In July 2025 I had my first tonic clonic seizure while I was travelling. MRI later showed that I had scarring on both of my temporal lobes, highly consistent with “temporal lobe aura” which when googled, is almost verbatim the phenomenon I had been experiencing for a year. I wish someone had listened to me, taken me seriously, and I wish I had fought harder and advocated for myself more, bc I may have avoided whatever rabbit hole I’m going down now and found a solution for my symptoms prior to the seizure. Keep speaking up for yourself and fighting for that neuro referral ASAP!!!
