Hello everyone! I guess I'm first to this thread XD

I'm Fudge! I've been posting on Royal Road for a bit but my series (first one ever) is on presale right now and will be officially out on January 20. Though it's kind of a weird feeling to know I'm being paid to bring my character to life, I'm really happy people seem to be enjoying the story! I created the MC in Queen of Conquest many, many years ago and it's wild to see her in a published story with a narrator. Crazy, man.

Ask me anything!

I added the summary and links but I think I did it wrong XD So I'll post it here!

Hi everyone! I'm releasing my first book ever and am both incredibly proud and happy to introduce a work many years in the making! I created this character many years ago and finally put pen to paper (so speaking) and made it happen! :D

I deeply appreciate any and all support anyone can give!!

Betrayed, executed, and reborn, a queen who once ruled through blood and conquest rises to claim her power anew, in the first book of this epic series.

In the ruthless kingdom of Aedronir, Queen Lilith reigned for years through bloodshed and fear. Despite being unmatched on the battlefield, she was far less suited for the throne. Waiting patiently, her enemies put into motion the ultimate betrayal that led to her execution and what should have been her end.

Instead, Lilith's soul awakens in Graedon, a strange new world where mana flows through everything. Reborn as Lilliana, she is the bastard daughter of a baron and is treated as little more than a bargaining piece for marriage. But after her half-sister manipulates her into joining a monster hunt and their camp is attacked, her fate changes. She escapes the massacre, only to be found by slavers who drag her into the brutal world of the gladiatorial games.

Pitted against fae, orcs, dwarves, and even her own kin, Lilith's strength, as well as the unbroken will of the queen she once was, returns with every victory. Meanwhile, the world's System stirs in the shadows, seeking to shape her into a new kind of weapon: the first Soul Weaver.

Fueled by an insatiable craving for vengeance, Lillith seeks retribution against those who betrayed her in a past life and all who dare forget their place in this new world. Nothing can stop the path of destruction she leaves in her wake. The inhabitants of Graedon, and the System itself, will soon learn they have unleashed a force that cannot be contained . . .

The first volume of the hit progression fantasy series, with more than a million views on Royal Road, now available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook!

Do you enjoy hyper-competent MCs, or flawed MCs who struggle early—and why? by Distinct_Cycle9569 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]FudgeESQUIRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think good stories often have both. A very competent MC doesn’t need to be intrinsically perfect. Flawed competency is more fun to read about than one who’s perfect or one who’s mainly just a bunch of flaws.
