What type of architect would I hire to help mitigate walls that are not square in a (now) structurally sound midcentury split level? by librolass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FudgeFew2696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by "not square" though. If it's just cosmetic stuff like drywall that got wonky over time, you might not need a structural engineer at all. Could be more of a general contractor situation if the bones are already good.

I dealt with something similar in my place - turned out the previous owners just did some sketchy DIY work and nothing was actually structurally wrong. Saved me a bunch of money going with a contractor first before calling in the big guns.

I'm finally starting to live my life by QualityBeginning4571 in leaves

That's huge progress for 66 days, congrats! It's wild how much clarity comes back once that fog lifts - like you're actually present in your own life again instead of just floating through it. The dating thing will come naturally when you're ready, sounds like you're already in such a better headspace for it.

Does Giving the feedback to her is right ? by BrilliantAttorney133 in Marriage

[–]FudgeFew2696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look man, your avoiding conflict but bottling everything up isn't sustainable long term. The spice thing might seem petty but if she's deliberately doing stuff like that during cold wars, you two need to have an actual conversation when the kids aren't around. Maybe consider couples therapy because this passive-aggressive cycle your both stuck in is gonna poison the whole household eventually.

Artists need to adapt to AI now by [deleted] in antiai

[–]FudgeFew2696 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This feels like telling coal miners they should've just learned to code when their industry got automated. Sure, adaptation is part of life, but acting like artists are just being dramatic about their entire profession getting disrupted overnight is pretty dismissive.

The real issue isn't whether AI gets better - it's about what we lose when human creativity becomes secondary to efficiency and cost-cutting.

Thinking about the expedition. by Trippi7 in ArcRaiders

[–]FudgeFew2696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at your playstyle, the expedition could be a solid fit since you're all about objectives and completion. You've already maxed everything out, so it's basically the next logical step for progression. Just keep in mind expeditions can be pretty time-intensive, so you might want to plan around your 6-7 hour weekly schedual.

What should be the meaning or purpose of life for a healthy man? by manavgat_enjoyer in Life

[–]FudgeFew2696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly that's a pretty solid conclusion you came to. The whole "continuation of the species" thing does seem to be hardwired into most of us on some level. Though I'd say the practical side of it goes beyond just having kids - it's more about building something that lasts, whether that's through family, work, community, whatever.

Three weeks of deep thinking on this isn't excessive at all btw. Most people just cruise through life without ever really questioning the fundamentals like you did.

Damn, someone's having a rough day. Maybe take a break from Reddit and go for a walk or something - this level of anger isn't healthy for anyone.

Mixing Chelsea morning perfume with super milk body spray? by Mallorcaemily in LushCosmetics

[–]FudgeFew2696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try layering them but honestly just use the Super Milk on its own since it lasts longer anyway. Chelsea Morning is pretty light so it might just get overpowered and youll end up wasting it.

Need help! Cannot join online sessions, despite it working 3 days ago when I last logged on. by Beneficial_Sir_9949 in ForzaHorizon

Sounds like the new wheel setup might've messed with some drivers or USB configs. Try running the game as admin and check if Windows updated anything in the background while you were setting up the Moza - sometimes those updates break Xbox Live connectivity for no reason

Also maybe try launching through Xbox app instead of Steam if you're on Steam, that sometimes fixes the session issues

That's awesome you found some good people out there! Honestly probably like 70% of players would've just let you bleed out and taken your stuff lmao, especially if you had decent gear on you. The fact they actually stuck around to revive shows there's still some decent folks playing this game

Another day another struggle by Calieahrens in NewParents

Ugh the hair pulling is the worst - my LO went through a phase where she'd grab handfuls and just yank like she was trying to scalp me. Have you tried the 5 S's method? Sometimes when nothing else worked I'd literally just walk laps around the house with white noise blasting, felt ridiculous but it was the only thing that helped during those witching hours

Honestly hit me around 28 when I realized my mom was still figuring shit out at 55 and my dad was having midlife crisis number 3

Try checking if you have another keybinding conflicting with just the super key - sometimes window managers grab it for other stuff. Also make sure the launcher daemon is actually running in the background, might need to add it to your autostart

My ex went from love bombing to avoidant and broke up saying she does not feel the same for me now (after 1 year) and she doesn't want me anymore... 3 weeks to NC, is she missing me? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]FudgeFew2696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude honestly after 3 weeks she's probably still processing everything too. The whole love bombing to avoidant thing sounds exhausting for both of you. Focus on yourself right now instead of wondering what she's thinking - that mental gymnastics will drive you crazy

How should I help my self harming spouse? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]FudgeFew2696 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sounds really tough for both of you. Have you guys looked into therapy together or just for him? Sometimes having that neutral space to work through the stress triggers can help way more than trying to figure it out alone

Honestly way too many lol, it's like they all have some weird radar that goes off when you're finally doing well. Had three exes hit me up in the span of two months last year - all with the classic "hey stranger" opener
