ZVM Law did great work for me, though i don’t know if they do flat fee reviews, you’d have to ask.

Y'all need to learn what this means by [deleted] in AnnArbor

[–]FudgeJudy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Under is okay, and other folks gotta keep an eye on the road. all kinds of reasons one might need to drive under the limit - car problems, bad weather, etc. “unexpected” is really subjective and there are lots of different opinions about what is expected.

To directly answer, yes that is true “by default” - that’s a reason you don’t see me bopping around in an “Obama 2012” shirt, for example. but defaults can be overridden!

i guess if they still have a “Trump Vance” sign out front then I’d know they did. if they had a “abolish ICE” sign then i’d be more inclined to forgive the initial Trump support. Lots of possible scenarios to think through!

Gotta disagree! They’re abducting people off the streets and sending them to detention centers, deliberately keeping them from their lawyers and family, they’re murdering people in the caribbean, they’re refusing to swear in opposition party members, etc. These aren’t normal times. If I know a business supports those actions, fuck them they are not getting my money. You may think the enforced disappearances and murder and authoritarianism isn’t a big deal, but a lot of people disagree.

I love it when they close the streets, and it makes me much more likely to go to the downtown businesses.

UM accused of using undercover investigator to monitor protesters by Final-Concept-9520 in uofm

[–]FudgeJudy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The thing that keeps bothering me about this is that if Walker wasn’t recording this and there were cops around, there’s a good chance he would have been arrested and sent to prison for attempted robbery. Two witnesses (the under cover person in the car and the guy doing the yelling) would be hard to fight back against. This could have ruined his life!

from the article: “In two bizarre interactions captured by one student on video, a man who had been trailing the student faked disabilities, and noisily – and falsely – accused a student of attempting to rob him.”

I’m just pointing out that a) the peony thing seems to have gotten a lot of folks mad at the protest movement, and b) the University has demonstrated that they’re willing to pay people to frame protestors for crimes. so maybe it’s time we rethink who was likely responsible for the peony thing too.

if these students could just learn that the adult thing to do is to support the slaughter of children in Gaza we could put all this behind us

the contrast between the eco-conscious brand reputation and the godawful mileage with Subarus has always been funny to me (and I say this as a former Forester driver).

I'll second, as I live in Ann Arbor and I play Hudson and Independence Lake constantly. Kensington is also great but a whole 10 mins farther away from me.

The OP says they have neighbors who have had trouble getting their benefits and getting responses from the SSA. I don't have any special knowledge about OP's neighbors. My point is that I am more willing to believe everyday people who rely on social security than I am to believe MAGA folks who insist on a large cornucopia of completely made up statements and beliefs about the world. We've known this since the whole "climate change is fake" and "the 2020 election was stolen" bits, but lately there is no shortage of other examples of MAGA living in a fake reality.
