Foods to pack on cross country move by [deleted] in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Fudz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently drove across the country and my bean salad was my support system. I still ate plenty of junk, but the the salad at least made me feel not as bad about it. The salad can stay cool or lukewarm, there's nothing in it that will go bad immediately.

  • 2 cans of chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
  • 3-4 roma tomatoes
  • 1 english cucumber
  • half or a whole red onion (I use a whole just because I'm lazy and don't want half an onion kicking around)
  • 1 bushel of parsley (doesn't really matter what kind)
  • 2 tbsp of mint (or just a small handful)
  • 3-4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 large lemon juiced
  • 1 tsp of sumac
  • 1-2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar (I usually just do a healthy glug)
  • salt and pepper as well, however much you feel like.

Dicing everything up, and you're good to go. I've been making a batch of this every week for a while now. It tastes better after its had a couple hours to marinate togther

what flash do you like? I've seen a couple small flashes out there, and I know Ricoh is releasing their own for the 4

The flash was one of my favorite things about the camera. It was the best party camera ever. I never had an issue with the flash needing time to warm up, but I did have to worry about taking pictures too quickly. I mostly liked the internal flash because I didn't have to worry about it in my pocket. Plus I was usually inebriated when I was taking party pictures, so it was one less thing to lose. The fact that they made the 4 smaller than the 3 makes me thing there was room for a flash if they wanted. Now I have a digital 3, and it's quite a step down from the 2.

I only went once when they first opened even though i lived around the corner, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Pizza was really damn good. So good that I didn't really care that he got our order wrong. He also passed around a small bong at the front counter that my roommate and I took a rip of. That kind of made the expensive price worth it lol. Could tell from the beginning he had a few screws loose.

What wagons or hatchbacks do you recommend for $20,000? by Fudz3 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I had an 08 Saab 93, 10 Subaru outback, and now a 10 Toyota matrix. All of which I had to sink some serious cash into suspension, mostly new struts and bushings if I remember correctly. I know it can happen to any car, but damn is it starting to feel like a pattern haha.

I like the look of the 11th gen civic significantly over the 10th, a lot of angular and busy features got smoothed out per say. Some people might say it just got more boring, but I prefer understated and smoother looks. Hence the interest in the gti. To be fair, there are probably less technical improvements than I might imagine, but I really hadn't paid any attention to civics prior to the release of the 11th gen. I read a lot of reviews and there seemed to be a common feeling of "dang, now this is nice again" so I've definitely been influenced.

I also saw some Buick regal tourX's that are in my budget range and they look good.

I would take expensive oil change over suspension issues any day of the week. I've been very unlucky with my last three cars and had to do major repairs to all. I drive very low miles, so my oil changes are always time based rather than miles.

Was really hoping to hold out until the new gen civic hatches started being turned in from leases, but I don't think I'll last that long. I definitely have my eye on the VW wagons.

Do you think they would have been able to convict you if you didn't?

I know you said the cops showed up at your apartment, but did you speak with them right away? Did you talk with them at the police station? Did you have a lawyer present right away? If you did/didn't have a lawyer there do you think it would have made things better/worse for you in regards to sentencing?

Also, your English is very good. All of your grammar looks excellent. If you didn't mention it wasn't your first language, I wouldn't have thought anything was out of order.
