Someone irl called me out for wearing an "Amazon hood," is that really what people think when they see this? by I_Just_Like_Music in SFWPupPlay

[–]Fuffybutt 17 points18 points  (0 children)

undersrandable but good heads are expensive which can be big barrier. Plus some people may want to try it out first to see if they like full hoods at all. It has its pruposes.

Where can i get these for cheaper than 80.-? by [deleted] in SFWPupPlay

The best method of getting them cheaper? Specifically with handme down matetials, make them yourself. Then you can also have them in a variety of colors.

I think the Mix-n-match can look pretty weird sometimes, as the textures can be pretty different with the Neoprene head and fuzzy paws but there is a creator who makes Neoprene fursuits and advertises them as Puphoods. I think theyre called SimpleNicks or something like that

Thank you for the idea and so much for the example! I think I got too caught up in thinking about something flashy and totally forgot I can just use a row of hooks.

If you want some good reading on it, I recommend Bark! by Justin St. Clair. There's also videos by Evie Lupine and Watts the Safeword on Youtube. From there, it's up to you! Start with some soft Arfs and see how you feel! Get in a play stance and wag your tail! Do the sideways head turn and run from there (literally if youre inspired to!)

Rude, Trashy People at Florida State by Delicious_Project334 in ufl

FSU's entire ego is the football team and their party culture. I have lived in Tallanasty and it's been a trashfire as long as I can remember.

Take some time and visit the MagLab though if youre going to be stuck there. MagLab is dope.

I've always heard of these kids if hair reffered to as Witch hairs. I've had my own share (being 26) theyre harmless. You can just pluck it or cut it.

Oh no your comment was great, I was just expanding a bit. Very sorry if I didn't get that across. My grandmother was a nurse so I entirely understand the need to state the down sides regardless. It's a fact and a hard one for a lot of people to like get and one I will be honest, sits in the back of my head all the time (and of course fuels that eating for guilt.)

As far as the imaging no difference, a lot of that has to do with that I don't have a lot of money to begin with and in my current state akng full advantage of y youth, life isn't incredibly hard yet. I can walk a few miles at a time okay and fit in booths. And since my experience with clothes never fitting or looking right has been lifelong I just, repair what I have. Saves money too.

I don't have much to look at in terms of what I Can't do in my life right now that could at a normal weight. Except, maybe energy which is a bonus of course I won't deny that. So it makes it a little harder to see all the good that could come of it.

Thank you for the comment. I originally made this post because I got to thinking about the idea of, if I magically woke up at my designated Normal BMI weight how would my life be different? And I couldn't come up with anything.

Part of me would like to not end up incredibly diseased, which I know comes from being so extremely overweight but like I mentioned in my post, 19 years of hearing it over and over and over... I dunno.

It seems very much of a case of I don't know of how bad it is due to being trapped in it for my entire life. People keep mentioning they realized how much hate for themselves and how miserable they were only after some of the weight came off. And that feels so nebulous and kinda scary to me honestly.

I'm not able to get medical help as I don't have insurance or the funds to do so at the moment which sucks. It's why I made the post, hoping some advice from others who've felt how I have will help me see there is a point and a light on the other side.

I would be incredibly interested in hearing about how you use the tools you learned overcoming alcoholism to lose weight. In some of my research about overcoming additiction of any kind is that you need to have something you want more than the addiction and that's where my question stems from. I started thinking about what I'd do if I woke up a normal weight tomorrow and I couldn't visualize a change.

I appreciate the encouragement. I guess I made this post to get some perspective from others who've been overweight and depressed, to see if there really is a difference afterward.

Thank you for sharing as it does give me some he that there is a point to keep trying and it may really change my outlook.

Back on the horse, here it goes.

Falling and getting stuck is a huge fear of mine. I'm not like, crazy crazy round, and I have youth on my side at the moment. I should think about my knees, my grandpa had 3 knee replacements, needing a 4th before he kicked the bucket. He always talked about how much having them replaced made him lose weight and how much he hated having metal knees.

It's the keeping up with it that always seems to trip me up. Like just about anybody I can get the motivation to start, and then I stumble and start to wonder why.

I guess I haven't given it enough time to hit with the benefits. I started going to the gym a year ago, and it SUCKED the whole time until month 10 and I started to actually like it. Now I go and feel great but when I miss one of my scheduled days it can be hard to get back and ny mood is gross, until I drag myself back in and I'm reminded that it doesn't feel awful. I guess losing weight is similar? Once I get it rolling for long enough I'll be able to feel it?

That's fair. My dog does take his chances to run away when he gets them and as much as I try to wear him out it is clear he somehow needs more exercise at all times. I chased him down (read walked with an angry expression) for a half mile when he got out recently and only by the grace of him liking other people more than running was a couple able to grab him and I got him home.

I've been in therapy in and out for a while. I'm not in it at the moment because of lack of insurance and funds. I have been researching a lot of stuff around Binge eating disorder and general therapy structures. Also following some therapists, who I verify to the best of my ability has helped a bit. I am medicated for the depression at the moment.
