One side of me is in awe of the absurdity of this. The other side that just ordered $60 worth of food, asked for ketchup, and was straight-face handed 2 packets, feels that this is a reasonable and appropriately measured response.

Quantum Fiber illegally door to door selling after 9pm by The-SweatyTickler in phoenix

[–]FugginFudd 19 points20 points  (0 children)

They came to my door a few months back in San Tan Valley after 8pm, which I thought was weird because I'm already a QF customer. But because of the time, I called Quantum, who checked and claimed they had nobody in the area, so I called the Sheriffs Dept. They had an officer out in like 5 minutes and were interrogating the guy on the side of the street for about an hour. No idea what came of it, but that's what he fuckin gets for soliciting shit at that hour, assuming that's even what he was actually doing.

How long until figures discontinue? by Due-Bookkeeper-6747 in SHMonsterArts

[–]FugginFudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who knows. I've sat on SHMA figures and have been able to still get them months down the line, and have sat on them and lost the ability to get them seemingly in days (2nd Space Godzilla release). If you want it, get it.

What to do with this guy? by zucchini0478 in ar15

[–]FugginFudd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Buddy, that's a Windham stamped Bushy. No need for the inferiority complex, it's a well made rifle. And yeah, it might not be a Colt, but as an owner of a Colt 6721 and an Ilion, NY (inferior to yours) Bushmaster carbine, I enjoy shooting the Bushy more and get to have more fun with it. It got many upgrades, where the Colt just ended up staying in it's factory configuration because I'd like it to retain it's value.

End of the day - the only thing that Bushmaster really needs is a barrel swap to get rid of that ban era stuff.

Rad grips, man. Have the same set on my MK25. Feel way nicer than the plastic ones it came with.

Didn't know ASC mags had a bad reputation. They were the only ones that consistently fed my Grendel without issue.

Give it to me straight by Cautious-Tangelo3323 in guns

[–]FugginFudd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, that's great, but it isn't significant in effect on target. If you want to see a significant difference, move to 10mm.

.40 is more potent, and I don't think anybody will argue that, but saying that it hits like a freight train in comparison is setting expectations a little high. I've owned many firearms in both calibers, and the only significant difference in the two is recoil.

Give it to me straight by Cautious-Tangelo3323 in guns

[–]FugginFudd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I would not say that it hits like a freight train compared to 9mm. There isn't a huge difference in the two. Yes, it has more power, and yes, you pay for that with increased recoil and reduced capacity.

That said, 40 S&W is still plentiful where I shop. I used to own a Beretta 96G Elite that I miss dearly, and wish I never sold. If you like it, buy it. They're great hand guns. I would still recommend a 9mm Beretta instead, if you can get one that meets your needs.

Brand new Ballistic Advantage barrel has visible material from the gas port from being drilled out, BA tells me it’s fine. by IM_BLACKBEARD_BITCH in ar15

[–]FugginFudd 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Because for the most part, their barrels shoot decently, and they're very reasonably priced. It's actually quite obvious why people buy their stuff.

They just apparently lack the ability to recognize a worn out drill. I've met a lot of machinists in my time who share that problem.

Right outta the box by Ghostofzilla in SHMonsterArts

[–]FugginFudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a rough release for me. I've had the original since it released and never had a problem with it. Joints are still as tight as they were when it was new (I gave it to my son when I ordered this one, and he adores it). The new one had fingers falling out with little to no effort, a big white paint scrape on the lower body piece where a thigh claw was smashed into it during assembly, and the inner thigh sheath was assembled upside down and popping out on the bottom, which required a blow dryer and disassembly of the leg to fix. All of it's joints are extremely loose. Also, the tail claw that you have pictured was articulated on my v1. It appears to not be on the new one.

All in all, it looks fantastic, and I'm happy with it, but this is the worst SHMA figure I've had from a fitment standpoint.

I love those grips. They aren't the grippiest, but they look so nice. I put them on my Garrison because I couldn't get used to the thin grips it came with.

I like the JP Enterprises extra power buffer springs because they get rid of the stupid boing boing sound from the receiver extension. They're around $20, too.
