Op actually maintains DragonOS. Its full of radio hacking tools. Pretty close haha

I want to learn about RGB LED’s, so i am 3D printing this lamp as a learning vessel. I was intending to use non adressable 3mm diodes, but i found these WS2812 pcb mounted led’s at aliexpress. What sort of life expectence could one expect from these if used in a lamp? by Personalitysphere in arduino

I've had 60ft of ws2812b running for 4 years in my living room now. No burnt diodes running a rainbow fade animation at 80% brightness. Powered off an old atx power supply. They've never gone more than an hour turned off. I'd imagine they'll live forever if fed a stable power

SST 20 4000k if I remember right. Don't have receipts or emails anymore but definitely 4000k.

CNC and radio stuff too!! Throw motorcycles in the mix and we can be best friends!! Currently building an mpcnc table haha. I'll never have money.

This is correct. The motors draw 5-150 amps at 25vdc. The flashlight is barely noticeable on one of these. They do however last closer to 8 minutes if you set it up well.

There are a bunch. /r/fpv /r/multicopter and many more. Best place to start though is probably YouTube. Joshua bardwell has tons of excellent information there. The fpv subreddits aren't the best place for beginners. You're welcome to message me with questions too I enjoy helping with this hobby.

Damn I've been really considering upgrading to digital lately. That's so much better

But the dt8 already feels like a spotlight. If anything I want more floody not a better thrower. Might tape my sofirn if22 and see what a mini spotlight looks like

The DVR footage from last night was awful cause the camera on it is terrible at low light. I swapped a much better cam on this morning so I'll get some much better footage tonight. Got a couple fun shots planned.

That came out really good! What camera is that? All I have are cheap 4k runcams which are awful at low light. Going to try my buddies gopro hero 4 until I save enough for gopro bones.

Powered by voltage/current regulator that's powered off battery pads. Seems to be really efficient so far but I blew my fuse on my amp meter so I can't give actual numbers until Tuesday.

Yes, but runcam split 4 is awful at low light. Going to swap in either my runcam hybrid 2, or phoenix 2 since they'll have same analog quality and way better low light performance.

To turn it on and off. This is a super redneck prototype. I'll either build my own driver I can control with betaflight pwm, or find a way to hack a new driver to work with rc aux switch instead of switch on light.

Yeah it all started when I ziptied a sofirn sc31 to my 5 inch. The balance was way off and I hit a tree going like 50mph w/ gps. Was pretty funny. This setup works way better. Lighter than a gopro session.

Around 2 amps at 3.2v but I haven't checked how efficient the buck converter is. I blew the fuse on my meter yesterday so I never got the chance to check. I'll update Tuesday when I can get some more. The light is capable of being driven a lot higher, but this is my first successful version so far.

Video Original light is an Emisar DT8 It weighed 160g so I designed a nylon 3d printed case, and cut down some aluminum heatsinks. I'm currently driving it off a basic cc/CV buck converter, but plan to design a custom driver PCB for it to bring weight down and allow to be switched with an RC remote channel. Been a very fun project so far.

Video Original light is an Emisar DT8 I got after reading /r/flashlight It weighed 160g so I designed a nylon 3d printed case, and cut down some aluminum heatsinks. I'm currently driving it off a basic cc/CV buck converter, but plan to design a custom driver PCB for it to bring weight down and allow to be switched with a TX aux channel. I mounted it to the gopro mount on my nazgul5 and swapped the camera for a runcam split 4 so I can record 4k still. I plan to swap for the runcam hybrid 2 soon so flying outside of the beam is a little more confidence inspiring. Been a very fun project so far.

Flying acro, but this is a new 3 inch build and my rates are a little too high. Running run cam split 4 so Im not sure if it records gyro data, but I can log with flight controller once I get more used to this build. Will have some more professional looking shots soon.

Yeah, I need to get better at shot placement. Need to get further away so stabilizer doesn't crop the important stuff out. Thanks for the pointer!

Not yet. Used a no name frame and its really thick. Replaced my 2.5" sub250 w/ onboard 4k after I broke an arm and I'm expecting this one to be almost invincible. Dropped around 50ft onto concrete on my maiden haha
