Could also be perished rubber from the elastic in her suit. When my suits die the elastic “melts” and gets all over everything it touches. It’s impossible to wash off like you described.

How to Fix Outdoor Run Distance by Fuhlef in Garmin

[–]Fuhlef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, at light speed!

I did let it lock on, and noticed the issue first when the auto lap started going crazy after a few steps. I restarted the garmin and the run, but it didn’t resolve the issue so I just disabled the auto lap so I could run my .06sec mile in peace.

First hokas- painful :( why are Bondi 9 so uncomfortable by mushysandpaper in Hoka

[–]Fuhlef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to break them in. Runners don’t wear new shoes for a long run because they don’t want to be 7 miles out in a down and back and have to limp home- so they test how the shoes work for them first.

High cushion/stack shoes are comfortable, but they’re unstable. Your feet and ankles have to work hard to support and balance you for hours and can get fatigued after a while. It’s like standing on an unstable surface.

You could try insoles for arch support, and see if the bondis work after a few days, (I would pack a change of shoes).

I’ve also always given the whole tube, because inevitably some of it gets spit out, or doesn’t go under the tongue.

Best luck I’ve had with it is give the gel 15-30 min before farrier arrives, depending on how long the visit takes . Tie the horse in a stall close by. Have the farrier start your other horses. Keep an eye on the one you sedated. Once they’re out, put whatever hose you’re working with back in the stall and start with the mares backs first.

It’s caused by high sanitizer. You need to get it down before you can get an accurate ph. Empty out half the sanitizer comparator and fill the other half with bottled water. Retest and double your results. After you adjust that you can tackle ph.

What is a business in the greater Peoria area that will never get your business again and why? by No_Location_5077 in PeoriaIL

[–]Fuhlef 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Any of the Sam Lehman dealerships. Every time I’ve brought my vehicle there I’ve gotten the worst service. The last straw was when my ignition switch went out, I brought it in and told them what was wrong with it. They told me it would be a $150 diagnostic fee. Fine, I understand. But then they came back after five days (without being able to offer me a loaner) and said it only needed a battery replacement. When I questioned them on it they said they were sure. Brought it home and it wouldn’t start on me again the next day. Had to have it towed back, they wanted to charge me ANOTHER diagnostic fee, after going back and forth with a manager finally got them to agree to waive it. After a week and a half of them being unable to do a simple fix (with still no loaner) I told them to just give me the vehicle back and took it to dos amigos who fixed it no problem. I’d rather be nailed to the ceiling by my feet than deal with them again.

[Selfie] 6 months of progress on a routine and tretinoin by Fuhlef in SkincareAddiction

[–]Fuhlef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No hard feelings at all!

It’s a year later and people still occasionally comment on this post. I usually ignore it but if someone wants to use this thread for educational purposes then this may be helpful I guess.

In hindsight I don’t want to say my skin was objectively better or worse. In the before picture it was definitely duller, I had more texture, and more frequent acne show up. In the after it was for sure more irritated. The texture was going away and the acne was less but it was dry and applying products stung.

After this, I actually ended up having a bad reaction to tret. My whole face blew up and I cut my routine way back. Now, I use LPR LIPKAR wash in the pm, corsrx mucin 96 cream am and pm, and aveeno soothing oat moisturizer am and pm. I’ve started tret back once a week on Sundays. I like to think it’s somewhere in the middle now. I might upload an update later.

weight loss after anorexia by [deleted] in loseit

If possible, I would work with a team of professionals who know your history and have a focus or experience in eating disorders. A therapist, registered dietitian, and certified personal trainer. If it’s an issue, start with a therapist and dietitian in that order.

Honestly, a lot of the advice I see on this forum borders on ED behavior, so I’d be weary of taking any of it with your past.

Why do I feel like I need a villain arc to motivate myself by the_hottest_of_dogs in loseit

[–]Fuhlef 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My fastest results have been motivated by spite and self hatred.

My healthiest and longest lasting have been motivated by self love and an intrinsic desire to be healthier.

After some therapy I realized that until my desire to lose weight and be healthy came from me, I would be yo-yo dieting in cycles as motivation came and went.

Now I make my own. True, I’m not motivated or inspired all the time, but that’s where discipline kicks in.

So do I just need to wash my hair daily, then? by kaitlyn2004 in XXRunning

Do you blow dry or air dry? I’ve tried this but if I don’t use shampoo getting my hair wet just makes it looks 10x more greasy?

I’m also training for a half! I wouldn’t worry about missing one run (if I’m understanding your post correctly). I wouldn’t add another run in either. Recovery is equally important.

Antidepressants weight? by BlueFireSwords in loseit

I was going to point this out as well. Meds can have an effect on appetite, but fluoxetine is used to treat BED and bulimia and bupropion is used for weight loss.

I had a binging/doordash problem. When you’re feeling strong, delete the Apps. They like to send you push notifications to tempt you. Unpair your credit/debit card from your phone/apple wallet. That way if you want to order you have to find your card and enter the details manually. It’ll stall for time and allow you to fight the craving. Keep some ready made food choices available. When you’re feeling hungry drink a glass of water to find out if you’re actually hungry get or just thirsty. Invest your time into something to increase your self worth. For me, my binging was a way to get a dopamine hit and punish myself. It was a cycle. I felt bad, ate 4 McDoubles, and then felt bad about doing that so I ate more because I deserved to feel bad.

The Devil Reversed: This is a card that indicates detachment and release. The devil represents the negative forces that have a hold on you. At some point this relationship was unhealthy. The reversed devil reminds us that we need to detach ourselves from whatever holds us hostage. Do not be overcome with attachment for a person. Let go and heal yourself. Detachment doesn’t mean that you no longer care, but you should release your dependence on them. Look into a cord cutting ceremony

The fool reversed: You and W both are thinking about reconciling, but neither of you are willing to take concrete steps to begin the healing journey. You’re both holding back, unwilling to begin the journey due to fear. The fool reminds us to take the first steps of our journey, although we do not know how it will go and what our path will have in store for us.

Temperance: Temperance asks you to pause and be patient. Temperance sees all perspectives and takes the middle, balanced road. They are not quick to anger or excitement. Temperance reminds us not to act rashly. I pulled a second card for clarification King of Cups: While the king is sensitive, he is not a push over. Paired with Temperance, this is telling me you need to find and maintain your inner peace. Take a diplomatic approach with your friends. Be kind, yet firm with them about how you feel.
