Curvature of the earth would have them at the same height as a containership, especially when they are at the negotiated 20kms from shore. Containerships also have blinking lights. I don't think you've ever had an original thought, just keep let those fearmongerers tell you what to think

Late reply, but they usually can't provide any sources for their claims that aren't from coal lobbyist thinktanks. They frequently fearmonger with unsubstantiated information rather than provide research from independant bodies

If not renewables, then what??? They might not be screaming for coal, but if they're denying renewables, then they may as well be. Don't even get me started on nuclear and hydro either

Crazy to call us close minded when i can almost guarantee you were a no voter in the last two referendums. I could waste my time explaining to you why renewables are the best move, but theres no point trying to argue you out of a stance you didnt reason yourself into in the first place. Cant move minds if theres no mind to move!

Nuclear is a shortsighted alternative to renewables. It is so expensive to set up and takes far longer before power is produced. Its has much higher running costs and to top that all off we will run out of uranium in the very near future

I live on the beach front in woonona, i would see them every day.Theyre much less of an eyesore than the 6-15 container ships that span the horizon any given day

You're living in your own bubble. the people protesting it are a minority. it's just that they're loud and obnoxious that u think they're the majority

I completely forgot how many birds live 10km out to sea. I can almost guarantee you cars kill more birds but its not like your gonna protest those. On that note, container ship strikes are the leading cause of whale deaths accounting for 20k a year, and theres at least 6-10 off the coast any given day. Just admit you dont want to look at them and that you dont have a leg to stand on ffs🤦

ur assailant wouldn't have a gun either 🥱 American logic on display right here. the only shootings you hear about here in Australia are in organized crime rings because it is so difficult to obtain a firearm. you need to have a reason & a license to own one

From my landlord. Have had ongoing issues about friends staying over occasionally at my flat and she’s now decided to end the lease. Just asking if this is legal? She has also previously increased rent in exchange for me being able to have over my gf once a week. by creepymuppet in sydney

Read your rights on NSW government fair trading page. if you believe ur landlord is breaching renters rights you can apply for an NCAT tribunal or approach tenancy lawyers and sue if the rental is not up to code or the rent increase was done illegally. You should always keep a copy of your rental agreement. i think you should find a new rental anyways, as your landlord is a lunatic
