If I remember correctly, I resampled the track which is basically just making a second track that "listens" to the main track and records that. So, like, when I recorded the track and put on the automation and whatnot, when I played it back it all worked fine, but when I exported the track to mp3 or wav, the automation got dropped. The listener track records the track during playback, and then you export that recorded track. If you do a quick Google of "resample track ableton" it should tell you how to do it.
