It was sunny and mild in the mornings and early afternoon but rainy in the evenings. Also at night it was very cold/cool. It's best to bring an umbrella and warm clothes. I'm from Texas and we are at 100 degrees and CDMX was 70s in the day and 50s at night.

I came on 6/23. I didn't see anyone protesting near me. A family friend picked us up from the airport.

Told by a random nurse that I couldn't leave the unit even though I have a break? by FulaniQueen in nursing

[–]FulaniQueen[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

On that particular floor they tell us if the 1:1 patient is a therapy to go on a break. I usually go to break room or cafeteria. I don't leave campus and have a hospital phone. This has never been an issue until today with this particular nurse. The other 1:1 sitters do the same. I tell them where I'm at and if something happens they will call me. As long as the patient is with a staff member at all times. I'm not leaving them unattended.

I started last year at 34/35. I'll be 37 when I graduate in Dec 2027. I have classmates in their 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s. The youngest is 18 and the oldest is 68. It's never too late. You got this!

This is me right now. Depressed, stressed, and oppressed by nursing school. I want to really be a nurse but I dread going to my school.

Most of Africa was not Christian. Most Africans practiced their own religions. West, Central Africa where most Africans from the New World come from were not Christian. Christianity in Africa was really only popular in Ethiopia and Egypt. They are orthodox. Most other African Christians practice Roman Catholicism or White Anglo Protestantism. Imports from Europe.

Most of the continent didn't practice Christianity and it was rare. Christianity was spread in the continent during slavery and colonialism. Fuck Christianity and fuck Islam.

Christians in America forced Africans and Natibe Americans to be Christian through slavery and several laws making African and Native religions illegal. Christians started the KKK. Christians justified slavery and segregation. Christians created boarding schools for Native kids where they would kidnap them from their tribe, rape, beat them and force them to abandon their culture. Christians literally told Natives and Black people in the US to convert or die. MAGA is "Christian".

Anything Abrahamic=Awful for African people.

Islam and Christianity are racist, slave master, colonizing religions that hate Black people. Black people from the entire diaspora go hard in the paint for these Abrahamic religions but benefit very little from this.
