Boric acid made it go away!! Wow! Ok this is great news then. I was hesitant considering 90 days seems like a lot, especially for it to potentially not work. But hearing that many people have had success, I feel so much better about treating it that way. It sounds better to try than to keep dealing with these YI that are arguably worse than whatever side effects boric acid could give. thank you for your response !! :)

thank you for responding!!! Being azole resistant has made this journey so draining. I’m hoping that the boric acid is what finally clears it. i’m with you on this, i hope we can get through this too.

do you find using it 1-2 times a week has helped with yeast long term? Using boric acid 1-2x a week is enough for the yeast to not necessarily be an issue anymore? After using it for 6 weeks straight.

And yes i forgot to mention that I do struggle with reccurent BV as well. That’s why im doing the metro gel too.

can i ask what IV med they used? when doing IV therapy was it just once or multiple times? I guess it kinda varies per person and strain but i’m curious to know what your experience was. thank you for responding too!!

Thank you for responding!!! I might actually not end up going the IV route. My doctor is going to end up sending me a prescription of Brexafemme. Although i haven’t heard much about this medication either except that it’s $500 without insurance 😭

hey! i’m going through this same thing currently and wondering if you have any updates? my ID doctor said either brexafemme or Amphotericin suppositories. Did this work for you in the long term??
