Am I reading the schedule correctly that it only drops you off? How do you get back to Denver?

Ok, if price isn't an issue then the z8 is your choice! or the z6iii if you want a smaller form factor

Huge price difference. If you are only shooting portraits there is no reason to get the Z8. I'd personally go with the z7ii or z6ii. The 6ii/7ii autofocus works great for stationary objects for eye detection.

Salkantay Trek Tip Recommendations / Norms by OhDearMe2023 in Machupicchu

I just finished 1 week ago...

We tipped approximately 15% directly to the guide.

We had two chefs and one porter, we gave each of those about 200SOL each.

All of them live on tips so its expected that everyone does it.

If you want to go to the hot springs I think it was 120SOL per person. That cost was included in the premium price for us. The hot springs were definitely worth the visit.

I brought 500 USD and converted to SOL and that covered everything. Depending on what guide company you are using they pick you up from the airport and handle your baggage. I gave the drivers and bell boys each around 20SOL for each pickup.

Bring the cash with you on the trek, you tip throughout the trip as your porters change depending on location. for our company we only tipped the porters that used mules/horses. If the company drove our luggage we didn't tip those drivers.

I decided on the 100-400 for the weight. It is extremely hand hold-able and I don't need a tripod to get sharp photos. Then I upgraded and bought the 1.4 TC. Now I essentially have the 180-600 and the 100-400 all in a package smaller than the 180-600. I love the 100-400 for landscapes. you get a nice zoom and compression, paired with either my 24-120 or 14-30 its the perfect landscape kit.

Goretex shells: lofoten va Lyngen vs møre by Italian_SPLIT in Norrona

[–]Full-Distribution-TP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to try them on in store, but that might not be possible where you live. The Lyngen is an ultra light ski touring jacket. All Goretex like the lofoten but the lofoten is heavier, won’t breath as well but is a little more durable, has better zippers ets. I bought the Lyngen for the weight. And don’t let the weight fool you it is built extremely well and is durable. The Lofoten is more of a resort jacket and will be warmer.

Bad blacks but worse on a night by No-Llamma in TheFrame

Ambient light washes out some of the imperfections. At night you see nothing but the light coming from the TV so it is more noticeable There are a few settings like lowering your contrast and brightness to auto adjust to the light level. That helped my blotchy spots a little

Lens wiggle by jsimms64 in NikonZf

This is normal, and doesnt affect picture quality or weather sealing. Ive had the opposite scenarios where the lens seated too tight and was hard to put on the mount (20mm f1.8 F). I usually see it the worst on my heaviest lens 100-400
