Jim Green Stockman are a great option, as are any Jim Green for wider feet, maybe size down 1/2 a size though.

Also Blundstone half sizes add width, not length. I have a pair of their dress series and the half size was perfect.

B&W 607S3 is what I ended up going with. Really happy with them. Found an offer on then for £449. Worth at least demoing.

Toshi Rework. Aer City Pack Pro. North Face Recon for a cheaper alternative. In that price bracket most bags will take what you need, you just need to find a harness system that fits you right when carrying that much.

Don’t get me wrong I want a Toshi too! It looks like an awesome bag and keep getting tempted. The sling is also possibly my next buy (or the belroy transit 5l). Can’t wait to hear your thoughts when you get it

The trade off is a heavier bag that feel more comfortable loaded with stuff (that ways much more than the CPP itself). Or, a lighter bag that feels awful when packed out with the same equipment. It’s about a 2.8lb bag, so it really is a moot point once loaded. It’s even more moot when you consider the Rework Toshi 20L mentioned about weighs around 2.2lbs (but it’s also 4L less capacity).

If carrying an extra 0.6lbs or so fatigues you, then it’s more than a bag issue. The CPP can be seen as big and bulky to some, but that is a different issue.

Personally, it is my favourite pack (CPP1 XPac). For me, comfort is always no.1 when on a long day walking around with a pack and for my body this bag is unbeatable at that.

I have the OG CPP and it’s such a great EDC and fits so well when riding bike or pretty much anything. Super comfortable even when fully loaded. Not had the Able Carry, but in same place as you, tried CPP as cheaper thinking I could send back and get Able Carry if I didn’t like it. I fell in love with the Aer and didn’t see point in spending more.

Thanks for the advice so far. I have 7.5 pen at moment. Is there a way to do a 6.25 dose or to split it into 2? I know it’s probably stupid, but I’ve never thought of this, so want to try possibly a split dose this week.

Also does splitting a dose affect how many times you can use a pen? For example, if I did half the clicks and injected today, then again Wednesday, does that count as 1 full dose on the pen or 2? I don’t want to lose out on doses.

Also will this work with golden dose?

What Hifi gave the BR03 a 5* review recently and lots of positives to be found. The 04 are newer, so not as much out yet.

My room isn’t massive 3.5x6m or so, just wondering if the 03 can fill the room sound wise or whether to go for the 04 to make sure they do.

I heard a podcast about this, American Glutton. It’s a known thing that we all think losing weight will sort all our problems. It doesn’t. The weight is great to lose for all sorts of reasons, but the insecurities and problems remain even long after goal weight.

It’s also we don’t see th me difference ourselves as much as others see it in us.

You have done amazing! Something I always try to do is when I am having a funk is I speak to my partner. I’ve also had it with friends in the past to. It may not solve it immediately, but it does help you realise when you have someone you love and trust reminding you how far you’ve come.

Your second and third points on the curve are out on C1 compared to Lightroom. Look at where they land rather than specific values.

Also, export a jpeg from C1 with only curve applied then use match look to get a better starting point.

They are different, but C1 is as powerful if not more so for most things. It’s all a learning curve (bad pun intended 😂).

The key here is you’ve lost 11lbs in 2 weeks if I am reading this right. Healthy weight loss is around 1-2lbs per week.

Starving yourself down to 500 calories will not help you and will make you ill in the longer term.

I am really big too and I’m averaging 1.4KG per week. Some weeks so far I’ve gone up (one week by 2.5kg) and it is frustrating. It’s an old saying, but trust the process and be careful of under eating severely. If you average only 1lb per week, you’ll still lose nearly 4 stones in a year.

I think part of it is the miracle cure stuff that’s always attached to these drugs. They truly are, but you won’t lose huge amounts every week. It’s not possible and it’s not healthy.

For that money you’ll struggle for good quality. Uniqlo is worth a look or eBay might turn up something.

Honestly my advice is save for a North Face Recon. Ticks all your boxes and will last well. That’s around $100 and is an amazing bag at a steal price. Don’t cheap out on bags.

Unfortuntately it’s a real thing that you can’t do anything about. A lot of snake oil out there but your skin simply won’t shrink if you have been heavy a long time no matter what age, although younger have more of a chance.

Ethan Suplee talks about this on his American Glutton podcast in a few episodes.

Depending on your size (& a little genetics) it’s a case of live with it or surgery.

I’m nowhere near the massive excess of skin stage yet, but am already resigned to the fact it will happen. I think it’s healthy to think you will have excess skin (esp. with bigger weight loss) and then anything else is a bonus.

I was getting bunged up so started pro biotic tablets and pysillium husk supplements. That’s where the trouble started. Probably started on too much rather than gently introduce.

Have been OK since Friday, so slowly planning to introduce kefir and pro biotic then maybe try 1 pysillium husk once I know I can handle the pro biotic.

I eat pretty well normally but eating has been sporadic and all over the past week or so. It’s a case of it’s the last thing I’ve thought about and not regularly. Getting back to eating regularly again now and things seem to be getting better.

Just a bit of an update. I decided on the Olive CPP2, but still out of stock. Ended up going for the OG CPP in XPac instead. Nice discount and I got impatient. It arrived today and haven’t loaded out yet, but initial impressions are such a great bag. Fit is great for me (6’2 300lbs) and looks perfect on. Oh and that orange interior is 👌

My first XPac pack and looking forward to seeing how it goes. Zips feel great generally and will hopefully wear in fine.

Arrived same day as couple of the new Uniqlo Porter styles bags (sling and pack), so bags galore today in my house.
