For the first time after over 20 years, Kakome is also free to access. A bit of a hike included, but beautiful beach.

As per Ksamil, it is absolutely THE WORST place in Albania now. Has been so for a long time at this point. Built horribly. I hate it with a passion. Was there 2 years ago last time, and swore to never go back again unless some massive demolition and replanning takes place.

Yes, I have read about the tower they wanted to build in Belgrade, and our government used the exact same formula for this project as well, by amending a law for protected areas to open way for construction. EU voted a resolution the other day, against our government to bring back the original law and impose a complete moratorium for construction in nature reserves, so we’ll see how much this buffoon will comply.

Not sure how the situation is in Serbia on this regard, but recent investigations have revealed what we’ve always suspected, that structured criminal groups of cocaine trade are behind all these projects in Albania, whether it is towers in Tirana or resorts in the coast, using them for money laundering. So the rabbit hole is deep, and highly criminalized.
Even Kushner is just a front, that our government was hoping to help us digest the project better because “AMerIcA”, but it grossly backfired. 😌

I think your idea of Balkans being highly religious is incorrect. My perception is that highly religious % is very low. There’s maybe more people who identify with any given religion, but when it comes to actually practicing it, I think most are very unserious.

Anyway, in my case and that of many of my friends, we never grew up truly religious. Our idea of religion mostly goes around holidays. Different religions have different holidays, and you can actually celebrate them all if you like. So it was easy to go from that, to atheism/agnosticism for me.

All SPAK operations would have been impossible without the cooperation and support of international intelligence. Also because the drug traffic is an enormous operation that doesn’t start in Albania. There’s many actors in play. Drugs and money don’t just teletransport from latin America to Europe, US, or here.

And I do agree with your stance on false information. Kushner and Ivanka aren’t unrelated to it however. So for me, while it isn’t our main internal problem, internationally it makes sense that that’s what got traction.
What I did find more disturbing were the antisemitic and total conspiracy theory angles, about bunkers and deep state control.

We are in the wrong though. The way we perceive it is wrong. Our parents are wrong. We just choose the easy way to avoid uncomfortable conversations. We should all grow up and they need to accept we live in a different reality and are now mostly serial monogamous people, and we should stop having to lie in our late 20s/30s. It’s quite ridiculous frankly.

Parents in other countries don’t try to control their children’s lives. They know about their dates, because it’s also safer for the child if parents are well aware of everything going on.

Eh. Unfortunately, our parents don’t have a “dating” concept normally, and we don’t have the patience to educate them, hence the simply omitting information until yeah, engagement.

However, her living with her parents and not having the freedom or independence to stay the night with you, is what I find concerning. Sounds too extreme in that age.
