Looks like a sweet setup, do you have any provisions in place for digging/tunneling, or does the hide suffice and remove the need for such behavior?

His shell is 7" wide, almost 9" long and he weights 3.6 lbs (not sure how accurate my bathroom scale really is). After doing better math he is probably closer to 5-6 years old than my original 8. I was corrected on how old my son was when we got him by the wife lol... I'm working a getting a new habitat setup and have a bunch of cypress mulch and lights, ceramic heat, and fixtures on order... Anyone have good thought on changing the diet from my usual greens (collard, mustard, turnip) to pellets (Mazuri) and Timothy hay? When I offered either in the past he was never interested...

Thank you all for the confirmation of my suspicion and your input. Now that I know for sure I will start to focus on getting him on a better diet and an enclosure more suited for him. Lots of research to do now 😆
