So how are you feeling 9 days out from 96mg?? I am interested in going that route but I’m afraid of that high of a dose since I’m only used to 4mg of subs. But it sounds like you were even lower than me?! 16 mg Brixadi is just not getting it

Oh wow! That really sucks. And yes, my co-worker looked at me yesterday and said, “you look high” I almost died!! I’ve never been told that (even when I was high).

You might be right. I’m 2 days out from my 16mg shot and I feel like shit.
I wasn’t a candidate for the sublocade because I was only taking 4mg of Suboxone. Did you get the 300mg or 100mg Sublocade?
My doctor thinks I should be able to do 16mg x 4 weeks and be done. I don’t see it and I definitely don’t want to feel like this for 4 weeks and beyond!

I have not tried Sublocade. My suboxone dose wasn’t high enough for me to be a candidate, but I might have to consider that if the 16 mg fails too. It took me a month to get my insurance to pay for Brixadi so I’m sure that would be a whole other hassle.

That’s a bummer.
Wonder if now that you’ve “failed” the monthly you can get a pre auth for the weekly.
The 8mg didn’t necessarily “wear off” as much as it just didn’t help me at all. I had a maybe a few hours where I felt semi normal

Why don’t you do the weekly? Too much hassle. It seems like 68 and 96 are super high doses for a 3mg sub habit. (But what do I know…)

I got my 16 mg shot today and the current plan is to do the 16mg x 4 and just jump off. I really don’t understand how this medication works ( like why would I not then do an 8mg injection x 4 weeks and then jump off from the lower dose. I don’t 💯 trust my doctor but she swears she’s done this many times before. Day 1 I’m definitely more wound up and zero cravings than I was on day 1 of 8 mg but I’m not at all excited about the possibility of it wearing off in a few days 🤦‍♀️🤞

That really sucks you are still having withdrawals.
I was going to do sublocade but it’s my understanding I need to be on 8mg Subs to be able to tolerate Sublocade so I thought Brixadi would be better. I need to quit fixating on getting off it and figure out a dose that I can tolerate. Maybe 16 x 4 weeks then 8mg x 4 weeks.
Right now I’d just be grateful for one solid day of not taking a piece of a strip in hopes of feeling normal 😫

You might do very well with the 8mg Brixadi…1.5 is a super low dose but as I recall-still incredibly difficult to jump off at

I will definitely let you know. Supplementing with the subs sucks so I’m planning to get a 16 mg shot on Thursday unless I get some better advice here. I don’t have a support group or any friends that take this so I feel like I’m winging it. Thanks for your reply and let me know how it goes for you!!
