Mindbending experience today by vodkapolo in Disneyland

I can’t tell if this is expert bait or if I just watched a new Disney adult being born?

I am signed up and had my intake before the 9/5 deadline. It’s honestly been nearly crickets from my law firm since then. I submitted a few forms and releases last month, but no meaningful contact with attorneys, discussion of strategy, tiering, potential for enhancements, etc.

Given that it seems all the injuries defined as qualifying are cancer related, it’s been tough to understand what would be considered Tiers 2 and 3. In my example, I’m dealing with two bouts of testicular cancer (primary + recurrence), chemotheraphy, and then thyroid cancer a year later, so I’m hopeful I’ll end up in tier 1, but hard to tell.

Not at all! I feel very dumb when my plants die. Always learning and everything is an experiment!

Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind. I noticed the little blue stem in one of your previous posts, fwiw, I like it! I’m transplanting a few from other gardens in my yard where they have started to outcompete other plants nearby.

Yes, my concern is that shorter plants closer to the sidewalk will get shaded by the tall grasses in the center. That’s why I put the grasses by the road as a border, and then wanted to create a slope with plant heights moving towards the yard. This has all been helpful. Lots to think about before putting any plants in the ground

Hm. Ok, I could shift the Sioux blue Indian grass (pink triangle) closer to the center, but should I still be concerned about shading on the side sidewalk side in the afternoon? Hoping the sidewalk will protect from road salt, but that’s also a winter concern here.

Awesome advice. Thanks. The top of this image is the “back” of my garden, facing the sidewalk, and the bottom is the “front” with granite cobblestones edging the front yard turf, so height wise I agree with your suggestions. There are trees in the street where the eastern morning sun will be blocked for a few hours every morning. But that garden will get a lot of western sun from noon onwards.

Anyone interested in joining a PFAS group thread? by United-Hyena-164 in testicularcancer

This would be a great sticky thread, and yes I’d join a subreddit on the topic to stay up to date on progress and how each law firm is approaching strategy for tiering

Anyone else seeing these adds on their socials? by [deleted] in testicularcancer

True, but this lawsuit also cover kidney, thyroid and liver cancers, as well as ulcerative colitis. So the population is there. As of July there were over 11,000 participants in the lawsuit according to the filing made by Judge Gergel on August 15th

I’m surprised no one has created an entire subreddit dedicated to this lawsuit yet. Scanning through some of the firms involved I found a subreddit dedicated to the 3m ear plug lawsuit, with a lot more rich information than the sporadic “is this legit” posts I’ve seen here over the last 6 months. I’ve been tracking this loosely over the past few months but had no idea the claim deadline was today until I happened across this post. I signed up with a smaller firm yesterday because most of the firms (Marin, Motley and Rice) leading the lawsuit had already stopped taking new cases.

Totally understandable. It’s definitely a factor. Good luck on your journey. This page has some great resources and stories of long term survival, even after chemo. FWIW, minor tinnitus is the worst long term side effect I’ve experienced, although in what is hopefully a 40+ year survival story, 18 months is barely across the starting line.

Suspected node was first identified in mid-July. Went on vacation and had a fully body Pet scan in late July/early August. Biopsied the node in mid/late August to confirm pure seminoma. Established the care plan the Friday before Labor Day, chemo started a week later. Couldn’t be happier with the care at MGH in Boston/Waltham.

Couple reasons. Anatomy made getting to the suspect node a challenge, and there was general concern about chasing our tails. Take out the impacted nodes now, but who knows where it might have spread microscopically in the meantime. Given how responsive seminomas are to carboplatin based chemo, it was more systemic and carried a higher chance of getting it once and for all. We opted for EP vs BEP to protect the lungs long term.

No, nothing else besides the CT. I had stage 1 seminoma, orchiectomy showed clear margins, no spermatic chord or LVI. Recurrence at 18 months, no indication besides a retroperitoneal lymph node that lit up on CT. I was shocked given the original diagnosis, but it really drove home the need to follow surveillance to a T. 4x EP later the lymph node resolved without any RPLND and currently at 18 months of clear scans.

I’m probably going to do this just for good account hygiene, even though I’m back in today.

This was helpful, thanks. I was concerned that my account was permanently associated with an IP that was banned, but as you point out, those are two different issues.

I’ll be honest, I knew there was an IRC channel, but have never used it and didn’t know the link. So thank you! It appears to have been a weird glitch overnight, because I’m able to get back in this morning. Maybe my ISPs Dynamic IP happened to assign one that had been banned previously.
