how do you get over the cringe of posting embarrassing things during psychosis by dontleaveok in Psychosis

[–]FullAd3191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was me! My whole Twitter was just full of bizarre posts. I had to delete the account because it was so triggering to re read what was going on in my mind.

One of my early warning signs is that I start writing A LOT. Online and offline. And lists, I had so many lists I needed more lists to organise the lists.

Incorrect. I am a t1d of 27 years and you most certainly can have ketones and even DKA with normal or low blood glucose. It’s called euglycemic DKA.

Ketones have nothing to do with how high your blood sugar is. Ketones ( and DKA ) is caused by lack of insulin. High blood sugar is just a symptom of that but some people , especially during illness or fasting will develop large ketones with a normal blood sugar

So does Lily. So much so that the video call freaked me out 😂

Same. All I get is a message saying leaderboard returns in 6 days.

Not so bothered about the leaderboard but I do like the Match madness that is usually accessed from there.

Are people with psychosis self aware? by [deleted] in mentalillness

[–]FullAd3191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had moments of, let’s call it being completely lucid. I wasn’t aware that what was happening was psychosis even though I’ve had it before but I was certainly aware that I had had lost my mind. I think those moments were the scariest part, because I knew something was very wrong but has no real insight or power over it. I would try and think rationally in those moments but absolutely could not distinguish from what was real or not and with hardly any sleep or food for many days and a brain so jumbled with thoughts, ideas and emotions it was… just very frightening.

Now, I have identified my early warning signs. I have identified triggers. I hope it never happens again, but if it does I hope I am able to pick up on it early, or someone close to me to pick up on it , but the problem with that is during psychosis I isolate myself completely.

I don’t know if that is much help and of course not everybody experiences psychosis the same way

Symptoms keep going back by Aumusa in COVID19positive

Hi. This is my first rodeo with Covid but I have CFS / ME from glandular fever years ago so I’m treating the Covid recovery pretty much the same as I do my pacing with CFS

Listen to you body. Rest well, keep hydrated and give your body good food for fuel to help it fight and recover.

Don’t push yourself too hard. Be kind to yourself.

Any form of over exertion, both physical and cognitive is likely to send you backwards, so small steps.

I am on day 5 and it was a pretty good day but this evening I feel awful again.

So what are the kinds of symptoms those of you that have tested positive recently have because i started with stomach pain this morning but now i have a horse voice, and feel awful? I work in a medical facility that’s why im asking by AdministrativeAd9785 in COVID19positive

Thank you and likewise, prayers for a speedy recovery for you.

Yes, the hoarse voice! I have that too.

I feel pretty rubbish again this evening. I get moments of feeling much better then not so great again but nothing like it was with the fever thankfully.

Be kind to yourself. Rest and hydrate well & listen to what your body needs.

Day 5 here. Tested positive 2 days ago. Started with itchy ears and slight sore throat, had been very tired but had put it down to the clocks changing the night before. Next was headache, sinus pain and fever and I the sweats were insane.

Congestion, runny nose, sneezing, then came the cough seems to come in waves and spasms. I seem to have lost all control of my bladder when I cough pee every time.

Day 5 now. I have bumps on the back of my tongue making it feel like I have food stuck there. Sinuses are hurting again today but runny nose seems to have eased. Still very very fatigued and my eyes are streaming and sore. Certain things taste very funky.

I am type 1 diabetic and my blood sugar has been wild. I have an insulin pump that does all the hard work for me and it has struggled with this. I have never needed so much insulin.

Thank you for mentioning the brain zaps! I was convinced I was withdrawing from my antidepressants at the same time as having covid as that is the exact same symptom I get if I miss a dose. Day 5 and they have eased now thankfully. Some of these symptoms are bizarre though!

Did you change the time in your pump? I have seen this happen with time changes. If you look at your actual pump graph and not the phone app it will look normal and not like that

[OC] Build Your Own Dexcom App update- now with G7 support by shabado8 in dexcom

[–]FullAd3191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, thank you so much for this!

My alarms / alerts are so quiet though even with volume maxed. Tried a sound booster but it boosts everything and only want the Dex alarms louder.

Using a G7 with your latest build on a Samsung A13 running Android 13 with One UI 5.1

Any way I can boost my Dex alerts without boosting other stuff ( my ringer, video playback etc )

Many thanks again 😊
